Same XI as United if Udogie makes it. Need to continue that momentum and will be nice to have our strongest CBs away at Brighton unlike last year.

I doubt we can go 6 on the bounce, but our squad is looking pretty pretty good!

Thursday was huge for the squad, such a massive confidence booster for so many players. Gotta keep our lot healthy and fit.

Probs Werner over Moore for me, at this stage. We know it’s inevitable, Mikey will force the change soon enough.

Against United, it was a better performance than Villa away last season.

I remember getting pretty excited though after that game.

Then the following week we went to Fulham, supposedly confident of a result.

They turned us over 3-0 in a horrible performance by us.

This is the real test that Ange has to change at the Club.

Yes we were all loving last week, Micky rewatching his assist on plane home lol

But can we follow it up at Brighton and really start to morph into one of the big boys.....or will it be the Tottenham most wouldnt be surprised by an easy enough day for Brighton....

Thats the challenge that Ange faces if he's to take us to the next level.

And I think he will, roll on Sunday.

Hope you’re right bud. 3 points on Sunday and we’ll be in a great place with real momentum

Think it's more a question of will it demoralise Werner or be a reward for Mikey.

General play of Werner in most games has not been too bad but the finishing ....................

Mikey will eventually be a regular in the starting line up and playing him this game if Son is out makes sense in many ways

Timo has done well, but his finishing is woeful. I'd start him, but bring Mikey on around 65 latest regardless of scoreline

Really bugs me when a pile on to a player just becomes completely irrational and resorts to utter untruths. If Werner is ‘never where his team mates think he will be when they pass to him’ how the hell does he keep missing all these 1:1s? His final ball and finishing are plenty enough to criticise without making stuff up
Completely agree, although Id even argue his passing/crossing is fairly consistent. It’s just his one on one finishIHG that is woeful and he’s well out of confidence on it. I see the positives of him playing and he plays smart just the one on one finishing. I would argue his final ball is fine. Last season he put in plenty of good crosses with his left foot. Assisting Johnson a fair bit.

It’s got to still be Werner, as much as I am excited by Mikey, he didnt complete outstanding final ball after final ball. He’s a great dribbler but his assist stats and finishing still has a lot to be desired as of yet. He’s 17 of course and Werner is a full pro. Werner should always start ahead of Mikey in the big games (without Son) until Mikey has developed more with minutes from bench and more Europa games. Ange will always do this because it’s logical. Mikey is exciting and his window of progression also exciting but he is not in front of Werner currently. Werners output is disappointing due to the fact he’s a full pro and gets into great situations but his actually game impact is relatively high and above Mikey Moore currently. . If Mike plays his minutes and starts scoring and assisting more than Werner I think that is when the argument he starts over Werner becomes to the forefront. As of now he wont start ahead of Werner unless it’s Europa/Carabao cup… For Mikey to change this, it will be his productivity goes beyond Werner. Werner has had three one on ones through his own ability. As others have mentioned this is extremely hard to manufacture, its such a shame he doesnt have the composure or confidence to finish more of these, but that’s why he’s with us and not Real Madrid. If he had real composure in front of goal he would be world class and not on our squad list.

Werner has value to our team below Son and above Moore currently, if Werner can start to take his chances he will remain there unless Mikey starts to score or assist.

He'll start Timo because he's publicly come out and said "he's not hopeless" and believes he is a decent footballer particularly for his way of playing football. Wouldn't be surprised if he has a hand in a goal in some way, probably a goal or an assist

I think werner is a must vs brighton. They will play a high line.

Mickey to come off the bench, imo

Keep it as close to the United line up as possible.
I'm also in support of playing Werner. Would love to see Moore again of course.
But it's important to manage Moore's minutes, he shouldn't play every 3rd day at his age. It's a responsibility we got when we play someone that young.
This might be the point of the season we need Werner the most, until Son and Richy is fit and Yang join up.
