As good as Gray has been It would be great to have Davies start here (for his experience alone). Where did you see that?

Also Richy on the bench would be great. His height at set pieces could very well be needed!!!

Bergvall puts it about more than Sarr does.
Depends on what you mean by 'puts it about' - Sarr is probably the best player in the squad for doing all the off the ball work that tends to go unnoticed and he also has the best engine in the squad. For games when you expect to be under the cosh, Sarr is a very good guy to have in your side albeit he doesn't have the creativity or technique of Bergvall or Maddison he still can be great for games like this.

Perhaps but I think Ange will start Sarr because of his fantastic off the ball work and defensive positioning. Bergvall will be starting regularly very soon, I just don't know if I would do it at Arsenal.
It’s annoying as both are very determined kids who can influence a game when they are on form with their athleticism. Kudos to Bergvall as he is 4 years younger but both still quite young for this position. Bergvall is stronger and a better dribbler whilst Sarr I feel is quicker and probably better final third passer/crosser. However both probably lack the ability to play together in a pivot against this level of opposition as they don’t have enough defensive nous nor do both have that magic or lockpicking ability that a more natural 10 would. Sadly it’s one or the other in big games.

Much rather Bergvall than Sarr. Looks after the ball better in pretty much every situation be it for keeping simple possession or moving it quickly to build attacks. Far far better on the ball and I think he holds a better position in midfield than Sarr. Sarr’s pressing and engine is great but it can be a little brainless sometimes and it can leave huge gaps in our midfield.

If Pedro is unable to perform against Tamworth he shouldn’t be starting against Arsenal.
Kinsky
Spence Dragusin Gray Reguilon
Bissouma Bergvall
Kulusevski Maddison Son
Solanke
Subs: Austin, Porro, Saar, Moore, Werner, Johnson, Richarlison, a couple of tailor’s dummies (might as well, Ange isn’t going to use them).
If that’s your criteria we aren’t going to be able to put a team out

Pretty sure Bergvall would of started against Tamworth if the plan was to not start him against Arsenal

You say about height for set pieces but Gray is 6’3”

Yep, reason I didn’t reference him is that from what I’ve seen of him so far I wouldn’t say he’s particularly dominant in the air whereas the others are (in my opinion). It’s a bit like VDV, great player don’t get me wrong but despite his height he’s not great aerially.

Thats the thing if we start all of Maddison, Kulu and Bergvall that leaves us nowhere to go in an attacking sense if in the second half we need a creative boost. I guess there is Moore but I think he will need a good few more games to get back up to speed before he can be expected to impact games in the PL.

Of course maybe we wont need it and will already have the game in the bag by then but even so I think its always good to have a bench option that can effect the game in an attacking sense.

Be interesting to see what Ange goes with.
Our attacking options on the bench will be Moore, Johnson, Werner & Lankshear. Perhaps Yang???

There has been suggestion that Richarlison is very close to returning, but we should expect him to take a while to play himself into form once he does. The only other attacking player out injured is Odobert (not expected back any time soon), so this clearly highlights a lack of depth.

Sarr's engine is great, however in the last two games, Bergvall has shown that he can press just as well and also has a decent engine. Bergvall also has a bit more of "Lamela" about him which could be useful in a NLD (it could also mean a Red card though 🤣). Plus he's in great form at the moment.

Just to clarify, I'd be very happy to see Bergvall start as I think he deserves it, I just can understand if Ange picks Maddison/Sarr ahead of him for this match and wants to use him from the bench.
