I would presume someone like Kovacic was considered option A, then N’dombele option B and the the latest revelation of Lobotka option C and trigger his release clause... all about having options and fall backs if/when it comes down to deadline day

Considering bugger all has happened it's been an oddly exciting window. When I say exciting I mean terrifying. Sort of like being tied to a chair, and having a short bald man in one hand hold ten grand and with the other dangle a hammer above your bollocks for 3 months.

He's always been my number 1 choice to replace Dembele.

Would be a coup if we got him, bags of potential.

If we ended up getting Grealish, Lobotka & Ndombele & are able to shift Sissoko, Dembele, Janssen & Alderweireld our midfield, AM & squad choices would be powerful!

That thread is full of Liverpool fans saying we don’t have a chance of signing Ndombele and he’s too good for us.

Weird, bitter fan base.
They are still bitter about Fekir and only followed them to hear Fekir updates. They're like a swarm of locusts.

Good post, with actual reasoning and no panic. Are you new around here?

EDIT - after a quick check, yes.

Thing that might influence the Ndombele sale is that Lyon were banking on £50m+ for Fekir. That doesn’t look like coming now but if it does, it’s only coming from England, meaning if they need the cash, they’ve got less than 3 days to raise it.

If no one bids again for Fekir, i’d assume Ndombele is next on the rank.
