Sadly looks like we need to make changes at HT. I’d bring on Bergvall, Spence and Kulusevski for Sarr, Porro and Werner. Those three will provide some personality and impetus which is what we need in a game like this. At the moment it’s all on Maddison. Ultimately this all boils down to “game management” again. We really don’t have enough problem solvers in our ranks.

Werner has plenty of weaknesses, but he also has strengths. The thing is none of those stramgths align with playing as a striker and target man. Not in his locker at all.

Why is it, no matter what type of manager we have, tediously defensive or suicidally attacking we can't break down a crappy team with a low block.
Because in scouting we favour physical attributes like height, pace and power over technical attributes.

Personally think this will be 1-0 to us in the last few minutes. It'll be less a case of us raising anything, and just how long Tamworth can match our energy levels.

Didn't catch the first half. Why so many empty seats?

One thing that does annoy me is the ref letting them get away with fouls because they’re non league. The rules are set by the FA applied at every level, this kind of stuff leads to so much inconsistencies where ref’s decide to change based on the opposition etc…

To be fair I was expecting them to be far more physical than they have been. Was expecting more dirty tackles.

Seen PL teams go to lower/non league teams and struggle to break them down a million times. Only yesterday it took Chelsea 40 minutes at home to score against Morecambe.

I'll be concerned if we still haven't scored after 70 or so minutes, but I'm not bothered in the slightest at the moment.
Yep. This game isn't really a measure of where we're at. These types of games are never as easy as people assume, for any team.

while the game has been hard to find much to be positive about, it is always great to see minnows doing well. inthis case, i would hope that the only thing these guys have to talk about in the pubs this afternoon is how well they played in the first half.

There's only one way for Lankshear to get experience and it isn't by sitting on the bench every week knowing that your not going to be called upon.

Playing Werner as a striker is setting the player up for failure, you know its not going to work but you do it anyway.

He's had some decent performances against poor European teams but outside of that his performances against decent teams before his illness showed he's not ready to be a starter.

Our fans are overhyping him and people suggesting he should start in preference to Son are off their rocker.

Very promising kid who should continue to get experience in these kind of games but that's it for this season I think.
You've written him off based on a first half of football come back from months out.

All I'm asking is you give him a few games before writing him off.

The rest of your post about Son is just deflection.

Lol the reactions in here are funny. It’s at their place, biggest game of their lives and of course they’re well up for it. Anyone who didn’t think this was a decent possibility has clearly never watched the FA cup before.

Chill out, they’ll tire and we’ll win
Yeah well... some players haven't been up for it so far. Which is not good enough... no matter what... let's hope we see a different attitude in the second from them.

We can't walk this game home.
