I love ties like this. Proper football and it's what makes the game so magical.
100% this. Just watched a report where they interviewed some of the players and coaching staff at Tamworth. Great for their club and sounds like it will be an amazing old school atmosphere.

Really hope there is zero complacency from our players, as they will be fired up. I expect a tough game with plenty of banter between the fans.

They seem to think they're going to make it difficult because they did against Huddersfield. Normally in games like this, the opposing team makes comme ts about the quality of the Premier league team, gulf in class, obviously the underdog etc etc etc, but everything I've read in advance of the match has been about how "pampered" spurs are (in so many words).

It strikes me that in a reverse of these types of fixtures they might be under estimating us this time and they are not really thinking that a team which rely on a guy with a 44yd throw in might actually really struggle.

Who knows. Perhaps it's just a jaundiced reading of the press notes.

Their artificial pitch apparently will make it a leveller too.

Surely it would be the opposite. If the pitch was a quagmire then that could potentially be a leveller but it’s going to be a nice clean, flat face. I’d actually think it would encourage the better team.

Are there any artificial surfaces at Hotspur Way?

There are 15 grass pitches across the site including four dedicated solely for First Team training and one and a half artificial outdoor pitches with floodlighting.

That's what came up from a quick Google.

You'd think so. And apparently they have a very high quality one too.

Ange confirms at 3.40 that we'll have a training session on an artificial pitch:

Since we felt positive again after the win against the Scousers, I can't help feeling that we will f**k up this...:nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:

One of very few games I'll put on when the program starts, as opposed to 3 minutes before KO to get some background in to Tamworth.

Looking forward to it.

Ah, proper spurs fan. Nice to meets ya!
We will win. Just gotta hope for no injuries.
The mindset of these smaller teams is always the same, to beat us with physicality. Hopefully that's with fairness in mind, not like Liverpool.

Artificial pitches make it easier to get your foot on the ball and control it better. It will absolutely favour players with superior touch and technique. I only say this as someone who's been playing on AG pitches regular for a good few years now.

I recall us playing against Young Boys back in the Redknapp days. That was an artificial pitch and our boys struggled with how differently the ball bounced.

They've got a guy with a ridiculously long thrown in. I suspect they'll be trying to use that a lot where they can and trying to crowd the keeper.
