Too much is been made of the need for explosiveness from the RW I feel. I mean it may help but when I see Kubo, I see other valuable qualities we don't have.

He's incredibly nimble, shifts direction quickly, low sense of gravity, strong ball retention/close control.

He isn't explosive in the way he'll drive past someone with force but anyone who has played against small nimble players will tell you, they seem to find a way past you and can be harder to stop than big powerful wingers sometimes (see Salah)
Salah is a poor example against explosiveness though, as he has that in abundance. Another one who's small and has that power/explosiveness is Bobb at City.

Not taking away from your general sentiment, however. I like Kubo, but if you're small then you HAVE to be explosive as a 1v1 winger in the PL. Being a creative wide player obviously relies less on power as the aim isn't for that player to beat defenders 1v1 often.

I disagree. Johnson and Werner have that explosiveness. Imagine how less effective they would be without it. Solomon a good example of a low centre of gravity, nimble footballer without the explosiveness. We need someone who combines the attributes of Solomon and Werner.

The reason we should aim for both is because these players are comfortable attacking in both possession and fast transition phases. It’s what you saw with peak Salah. Moments of magic to unlock a parked bus but also extremely dangerous in counter attacking situations.

There are one or two exceptions such as Bernardo Silva. But only because he is absolutely elite in pretty much every other aspect.

Is there anything (current) linking us to this guy or just wishful thinking?

Was 'talking with player's camp' according to WLB earlier in the summer. And he seems to fit the right profile, age, etc.

I consider B. Silva a wide creative player rather than 1v1 winger, I thought of him when typing my other message hence the distinction in said message.

Maybe Adringa will become available now . Looks a decent player that would give us options on the right .

wishful thinking but was very impressive every time I saw him for Brighton

Oh that’s a very exciting signing for them. Be very curious to see how he does. Their scouting department still on form.

That would mean they've signed Minteh and Gruda for £60m and both play on the RW.

Surely means they are selling Andingra who has 2 years left.
