If we continue with a three at the back system, I think we need to bring in another CM, as Dier will be part of the backline.

Need:

Centre back - Maguire (sell or loan out Wimmer/CCV)

Left back - Chilwell or Sessegnon (sell Davies as he doesn't suit our tactics)

Centre mid - Paredes looks a good fit

Attacking mid - Mahrez (sell Sissoko)

Striker - Lacazette

Sell: Sissoko (especially if that whole £8m/year thing is true), Njie/Bentaleb (Not sure what the fine print on their loans were), and Davies.

Buy: Ryan Sessegnon, Felipe Anderson, Sebastian Driussi. Maybe another young CB but I actually like our group there.

If we earn Champion League football again, we'll have the ability to go out and sign quality to improve the squad. Poch has learned his lesson from last summer and knows low hanging fruit signings aren't going to allow him the luxury to rotate as he'd like between Europe and domestic games.

For me, I'd go all out and try to sign Lacazette. No other signings needed. He can play with Kane in a 2 striker set-up or as a wing forward. His goal scoring record the last 3 seasons has been unbelievable. 18 in 18 this season on the back of two 20+ goal seasons, while missing a chunk of the season with injury. He is in our wage bracket, Lyon will sell for the right fee (probably for what we paid for Janssen+Sissoko), and with CL and television funds plus 3-4 outgoing sales, we can easily finance the deal.

A diverse dynamic striker is the only hole in our squad at the moment. We could use another attacking midfielder, but we have enough there when all our fit to compete at a high level. An injury to Kane is hugely damaging to us, as was exhibited in his time out of the squad.

If we are now set on 3 at the back, there is no place for Lacazette.

Lacazette is out of our price range.

Poch is flexible if we got Lacazette there is nothing to stop us going 4231. The 3421 formation happens IMO to suit the players we have, Lacazette could change that. Anyway I doubt we will get Lacazette brilliant as that would be.

If our summer consisted of just one outstanding player like lacazette, Bernado Silva etc that would be more than good enough but it would be hard to achieve.

Aranguiz from Bayer. Been one of my favorite players this year. After watching him against us, I kept an eye on him and I love what I see. Unfortunately he ruptured his Achilles, so who knows if he will reach his old form.

But he for me would be the perfect fit for the DM/CM role that Dembele plays alongside Wanyama. He would add a lot of competition to the midfield.

Edit:

I would also like another attacker that is versatile across all positions and can drop deep. I have seen about 10 or so full games of this guy and I love everything about him. Reminds me of Sanchez at Arsenal.

Lacazette is out of our price range.

Then we should increase that range. The players we need to improve us as a team will not fall in to the 10-20m range but cost a fair bit more...

We should not waste 30m on Sissoko or 20m on Janssen but fork out that extra 15-20m to get the real deal, like Mane or Sane or Lacazette or...

We're not talking 30-40m here lad. Lacazette would be 70m+. Naive to think we'd go there.

Not the value of the player, the wages. Lacazette can realistically move to a lot of top teams who will be able to offer 2/3x much as we offer and then you have China as well.

We're always going to struggle with players who are sought after especially with attacking ones, same happened with Mane, we just cannot afford them.

Leander dendoncker from anderlecht is the defender I want. He's basically the belgian Eric dier, versatile young technically strong good athleticism. Probably not our biggest priority but he just such a proper footballer, be shame to see him go to a Liverpool or arsenal who really need him.

CB: I like Wimmer a lot but i'm starting to wonder if he can only be at his best when playing every week, which is really what all players need to be doing at his age. Maguire looks a good player but it's the same issue really. Arguably an older, more experienced backup CB is the way to go here if we're going to add anyone.

LB: We're set at RB with Walker, Trippier and KWP coming through. A player like Sessengnon would be a perfect addition.

CM: We're being linked with a move for Tielemans in summer but I'd argue that Winks is a very similar player. Paredes from Roma looks a better option and similar in style to Dembele so I'd like us to look at him if he's available

AMF: Sissoko looked like he might be starting to come good but I think it's still likely to be one that we cut our losses on and move on. Zaha is clearly a player that Poch likes so I'd be happy if we added him.

ST: We need a change of pace option up front. Kane and Janssen are similar in style so IMO we need a pacey striker that can race on to through balls and long balls. Whether N'Jie comes back and does this, who knows, still see him as a left wing forward really and reckon he may end up staying in France come the summer. Driussi would be a nice option although unsure of how quick he is.

Firstly - LWB. I like Davies. He's probably as good a back-up LB that we could get. Unfortunately, I'm not sure he's quick enough to be a successful LWB - a position we have been using more often. Therefore, we should look to sign someone who can play as a LB and a LWB. We could go for Sessegnon, who would be a really young option but with very-high potential (could be a risk to play in PL games though). Or we could go for someone like Robertson at Hull, who's young, fairly quick and has played at both LB and LWB for Hull. He will also only have 1 year left on his contract in the summer I believe.
Looks like Robertson is going to Burnley.

Lacazette is only on around £65k a week at Lyon, which we could easily improve on. Of course that's not to say other clubs could more than double it without batting an eyelid, but we could still offer him an attractive salary that's an improvement on what he's already earning.

Still, it's an unlikely transfer for the simple reason I don't think Pochettino is overly keen on him. Certainly not to the extent of persuading Levy to fork out £40m.
