Squad size is about right, but balance needs addressing. 3 at the back and 1 DM, currently covered by Dier, Toby, Jan, Winmer, CCV and Wanyama. Room for one more there I reckon, maybe someone like Dier who could cover CB and DM.
Probably a bit overstacked at AM, room to shed some there, Eriksen, Alli, Son, Lamela, Nkoudou, Sissoko, Edwards, 7 players for 2-3 spots depending on formation. Room to strip that down.
Carroll (gone), Bentaleb and Njie to be sold after loans, and potentially one of the AM sold. Bring in a CB/DM, and another CF, a dynamic type like Batshuayi who could lead the line on his own or play in tandem with Kane/Janssen just as tactical alternative.
Potentially a young LB like Sessegnon too, to be a long term Rose understudy.

As we say farewell to WHL with its smaller pitch and move to Wembley, I think we need to invest substantially in players with speed, range and creativity. The games against Man City, Monaco and Leverkusen have shown that on these larger pitches we can struggle mightily, as the better teams then have the space to pass their way out from under our pressing system. Playing our home games on a larger pitch is really going to pose some awkward questions for a number of our players...

We need a pair of wide men in the mould of Bale, Hazard, De Bruyne, Willian (sic), Mane. This to allow us to really take the game to our opponents and make the extra space work for us rather than against us.
Sissoko and Lamela are the obvious outs if we go down this road. This would be priority number one for me. I doubt if GKN could fill one of these positions on a permanent basis. Edwards is still 1-2 years away from a full-time role
At CM i'd expect Winks to be deployed more and more in place of Dembele. That should cover that
We may also want add pace to the back three. Swapping Davies and Wimmer for a player like De Vrij (who we've been linked to) would give us a more mobile back three.
And then there - still - is the small matter of bringing in adequate cover for Harry Kane... Should be a busy transfer summer.

Valid contribution, for sure. (y)

watching Julien Brandt atm, brilliant footballer and links play from deep at pace, plays gorgeous one-touch around the box and always looking to play the ball puts Leverkusen in the best position to score from. He's on the top of my attacking wish list oozes class and intelligence.

CB: I don't rate our depth in this position

LB: Davies is ok but a player with more pace and athleticism would see us struggle less with our system, and reliance on our FBs to get forward and create chances, when Rose is out.

AM: need 1 more quality player in this position. Big ask but Edwards maybe could step up?

ST: this is probably the most obvious one, as there are none coming through the academy

Cool. But there is zero chance he comes here. None at all. Dortmund wont sell him

I can see this happening for 60m, especially as he wears Nike boots. Dortmund always struggle to keep hold of their best players. They lose some every year. Make it happen Levy, this guy with the ball at his feet is poetry in motion.

Think if we get champs league, poch gets to spend that. I believe that's where Sissoko money came from. Think Jansen is a goner, and if poch got his way Sissoko too. Wouldn't be suprised to see Zaha replace Son.(not my choice)

I hope you're not being serious, Son is on a completely different level to Zaha.

As for the summer, I'd take Sigurdsson and Llorente from Swansea if they go down.

I said not my choice. Son doesn't like being a bit part player. He's got very good sell on value, and poch doesn't like the deficiencies his game has

Might be just me but it looks like he's enjoying his football this year, he might not be first choice but he's still a big part of this team and he seems to realize that something special is happening at spurs right now.

We won't be doing much business at all. MoPo will want to keep his settled side. He will replace any people he's forced to sell, and he will strengthen any weaknesses he identifies over the course of the season.

Anyone daydreaming about some vast network of wheeling and dealing that will suddenly click into operation in the summer is going to be disappointed come June the first.

Yeah but it's just frustrating that we spent 60 million and it hasn't improved us.

Wanyama definitely has improved us. I was slightly critical of him early on, but now think it was just an issue with pairing him with Dier in CM. The balance and dynamic is far better with Dembele.

Sissoko may not look like a £30m player, but he has still made some important contributions. A couple of big performances (e.g. in the win against Man City) and I believe he has come off the bench to set up a winner on three or four occasions. In the absence of Lamela, Sissoko has often been our best option, when we play 4-2-3-1.

Janssen is scoring less than we'd like, but is still good value at £16m in today's market.

Nkoudou is the one who puzzles me. Like-for-like swap for Njie, at a loss.

I agree with you. I really don't want wholesale changes and our young team is really maturing nicely.

CB - I'm not sure Wimmer has progressed and have been unimpressed with most of his performances this year. But this is an area that potentially needs strengthening.

LB/ LWB: Youngster like that Fulham chap. Depends if Davies stays with us.

AM - Edwards emergence next year is something i'm really excited about. But if there is any chance in this world that a player like Isco, Bernardo Silva, O Dembele, or even Coric, Felipe Anderson, Keita Blade are available and want to join us, then this is the position i'd happily spend 40m-50m on.

ST - We need a pacey young striker as back up. There are a few in the French league in the youth teams at PSG / Monaco etc. Would like the option, Kane, Janssens strength, new strikers athleticism.

Order of importance for me is AM, ST, CB (if we sell Wimmer this moves to second), LB/LWB

Our squad is very strong and we have many good players, what we lack is something we normally have which is a world class 10 type. So used to Bale or Gazza or Ginola etc but now we don't. We have lots of good players but the difference between us staying here or moving up could be a Bernardo Silva signing and I don't think that will happen. It kind of means hoping Edwards can become the player we pray for which is a lot of pressure.

Otherwise the squad just need minor amends, maybe another CB who is quick and possibly an extra striker who is also quick.
