It's almost like if Alex Ferguson said "Good defenses wins you titles".

Klopp's Liverpool also only really became short of untouchable once Van Dijk joined up as the missing piece of their defense. For a more current day analogy.

Agreed! Historically, successful teams have been built from solid foundations. Those teams may have had the limelight on the more attacking players but the defence was always immense.

Exciting signing.

For me what I like is that to go along with his considerable dribbling skills he can really see the pass in the final 1/3.

Brilliant, where can I find this?

There you go:

Translated: PSV striker Steven Bergwijn leaves for the British football club Tottenham Hotspur. In the night from Monday to Tuesday, the Eindhoven club reached an agreement with Spurs, general director Toon Gerbrands told ANP after De Telegraaf published the news. PSV will receive around 32 million euros for the player.

Done :)

Off topic: PSV are broke apparently and they'll use the money to buy a new left back, which the desperately need. Probably sweetened the deal a little. Dutch media reporting Patrick van Aanholt will join them for about 9 million.

So funny seeing the joy in here. Give it couple of hours and suspect I’ll be reading “fucking Levy the tight wad” “he hasn’t bought anyone decent for 2 hours” “get Levy out he’s ruining the club” etc...etc...

Delighted with this, feels like a proper Spurs signing. We love a tricky winger at this club. The main thing I notice from the vids on youtube is that he looks really confident on the ball. Clearly believes in his own ability. Constantly showing for the ball and has unbelieveable pace. I've wanted this team to get quicker and I'd argue that Son, Lucas, Bergwijn give us some serious speed. Lo Celso isn't slow either.

On a side note (nowhere else to post it) Sheff Utd are in advanced talks to sign Sander Berge for only 25m euros! Surely we've gotta get involved at that price having previously been linked. Could be one of those deals that we hadn't considered doing but is too good to pass up. He'd fill a gaping hole in our side.

Okay so fee looks to be all sorted now, which is good. Now comes the tricky part for Levy...who pays for his plane ticket? Danny will probably argue that even Amazon Prime delivers your orders for free.
