Good luck Steed, was one of my favourite players at one point, always gave his all and was gutted when left, hope his son will pull through

Sad news for Steed and his son. Hope his son has a full recovery.

Always liked Steed, as people have said, got on with his job, no fuss. Solid player.

I miss the way he would lie on the floor and scamper around the ball like the Andrex puppy before scooping it up and running towards goal.

It was a thing we had.

The guy worked so hard at every club he played with. Loved football as a game rather than as a living. And he weren't half bad either. Good luck in your future life Steed. You gave us what you had.
