Spurs confirming their scholarships far earlier than in previous years likely for two reasons
1) To avoid situations like losing England youth internationals Jayden Meghoma & Sam Amo-Ameyaw to Southampton
2) To allow those moving on the most time to trial at other clubs and secure their scholarship.
Only 17 years old and already better than Alderweireld and the kid from Home Alone, who really knows how to set up a defence.

My understanding is that he would have qualified but for the loans. I suspect we could find ourselves in the same position with Bergvall, who looks like he’s going to need some loans to progress.
