i saw some of it. gray was rb and was pretty much what we see of him here, some nice bits on the ball but got skinned a couple of times down the line. not sure what will happen with him if livramento drops back down to the u21s, the sooner he's playing in midfield the better. scarlett battled well when he came on, i know most have given up on him but there are parts of his game that are coming along nicely.

What ive noticed with Archie is he is reasonably quick once at speed but he is pretty flat footed and slow to accelerate.
Thats why he gets skinned, or appears to get skinned because most wingers have rapid accelaration.
In a foot race he usually has enough to get back or atleast close to.

I can’t see that George has his own thread, so posting here. Seems to be making an impression.

I’m no expert but have always been impressed by Abbott when I’ve seen him play. He’s a thinking player with good positioning. I’m not sure he’s going to be a top class midfielder but I would not be surprised to find him becoming a full back.

Those who follow this thread will have seen some of the goals, but it really hits home how talanted he is when you see it all together.

Wow. There was genuine lol moments then. Check out the keepers response after he got the ball looped over him from close quarters.

The way he cuts in with his 1v1, I can sense defenders hammys tightening at the thought of it.

Is it fair to say Dorrington hasn't come on much this season?
The injury had really slowed down his progress. We just have to hope that he can regain his sharpness over the second half of the season and then maybe get him out on loan next season.

dane could still make it, the next six months are crucial for him.
I think people underestimate the demands of being a striker in the modern game.
Not only do you have to be a goal threat, but also spend 90 minutes battling against two CBs, lead the press, link up with wingers.

Look at Solanke for example, he was the best striker in the Europe at youth level but took until the age of 25/26 to establish himself as effective PL No.9. Watkins and Toney the same.

I think he has some of the attributes to be a good level PL striker (great finisher, good penalty box instincts, singleminded mentality), but will need to spend 4/5 seasons at a lower level learning the rest of the role before coming back up.

Its great to see former Spurs youngster Jaxon Brown getting his chance. I always liked him as a player and was disappointed when he didn't get a scholarship.

I hope the ghosts at their training ground don't mess with him - Ian Holloway as mad as a box of frogs

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Your Spurs to take on Leicester! 🔢<br><br>Stuart Lewis names a much changed side, which includes competitive debuts for Blake Irow and Oliver Salter! 💪<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/LEITOT?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc^tfw">#LEITOT</a> <a href="https://t.co/xKHfzsx3Mj">pic.twitter.com/xKHfzsx3Mj</a></p>&mdash; Tottenham Hotspur Academy (@Spurs_Academy) <a href="">November 23, 2024</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Interesting selections, heavily rotated squad, perhaps because of the recent international call ups. First starts, I think for U16s Bradley Irow in goal, Ollie Salter and Oliver Dexter (mistakenly listed as Oliver) in midfield. Rare starts for second years right back Dante Orr and centre backs Timi Adekunle and Roman Egan-Riley and I think it might be a first start for first year defensive midfielder Samal Bangura. U16s Agyekum and Thomas are on the bench as well.
