Tempted to say we should recall Devine and loan out Bergvall. Frees up a Europa squad place and is arguably right for each players development.

I don't think you send a young lad from a foreign country straight out to a new club.

Let him integrate with the country, style of play, one of his own in Deki, first team squad, before making the decision in the Summer.

However, I agree about Devine (and Donley) as the Europa cup would have been the ideal stepping stone for the club trained lads.

Why? We're doing ok in the Europa league and Bergvall is playing.
There's no guarantee he'll get playing time out on loan and that won't be good for his development.

Would be harsh on Devine to do something like that. He's starting every week in Belgium and has almost twice as many minutes on the pitch as Bergvall. Combined with us likely playing a stronger line-up in latter stages of competitions, Alfie would go from a starter to not playing much meaningful football.

On Williams-Barnett who is in a little bit of a delicate contract situation given his age.

Surely it's the same situation as Mikey Moore was in before his 17th birthday, LWB is just 16 and can't sign a pro contract until 17. The fact that he was taken out to Turkey shows that the club must have plans for him , he has seen Mikey make it from Academy into the first team so Luca knows there is a path to the first team under Ange , whether Ange will still be here when Luca steps up is another matter.

Malachi Hardy, Jun'ai Byfield and Luca Williams-Barnett should all make a massive difference to the last game against WBA.

Don't we need him to sign his Academy papers first? I'm not aware that he has done that yet - and all the usual predators must be circling with large offers of cash now, and much more when he signs his professional papers.

Not really sure how it all works but as I understand it contracts for minors are not binding so could walk away at anytime. We had the same worries with Moore being pursued by many but have held on to him expect we will handle Luca in the same way.

If you see the goal Luca has just scored for the U18's , we need to offer him everything we have.

Under PL rules it would seem cash inducements for youngters not allowed but I'm sure there are underhand deals going on, has always happened before in football.

Inducements Clubs are not allowed to encourage players to register with them by offering cash or some other benefit in kind to you, your child, or anyone connected to you.
