This is from the Spurs website , Spursplay will be showing all matches unless they clash with PL matches

How can I watch the games online?

If you’re unable to make it to watch the action in person, our Under-21s’ home and away matches are broadcast live on SPURSPLAY*. Find out more about SPURSPLAY and sign up here.

*Rules forbid the broadcasting of Premier League 2 fixtures taking place at the same time as senior Premier League matches. Therefore, in the event that any of our fixtures in the competition clash with a Premier League game, these will not be shown live but will be available on-demand in the hours after the match.
That’s a stupid rule. An U21 game is hardly in competition with a different team’s first team fixture.

don't do this to yourselves. a loan without playing time does more harm than good to a young player's development. if they are not going to play in their loans I would rather them staying and train with better players and better coaches

not necessarily, sometimes a kick up the arse, or adversity makes a lot of players stronger.

who knows how he will deal with it.

So I just looked online and see we lost 4-1. Jeremiah Okine-Peters scored all four goals and we had Alfie Dorrington sent off on 92 minutes which lead to a penalty for their fourth goal. I wonder if that was the stronger side Reading could field or the younger one?

Mixed, few scholarships, mostly first year pro's so 18 year olds with a few older ones, mixed bag really.

My lad injured so wasn't playing tonight, back week after next.

The difference with Reading, is that most are getting first team chances so some really good experience for a fair few of them, it really makes a difference.

Stronger ones all in first team as club can't sign anyone!

It’s no surprise that this U-21 team is struggling. There is very little quality with arguably zero players that will eventually make it with us.

Hall is rated but is extremely lightweight and has an awful lot of learning to do. As of now he would look like a boy amongst men if he were to play for us.

Black is decent but I’m not sure what his best position is and I’m not sure personally if he has that extra bit that will make him a Premier League footballer.

Dorrington is coming back from a very lengthy layoff so will be interesting to see if he can step back up to the levels he once was.

Premier League football is the elite level and very few players make it because of just how difficult it is. Add that to the fact that already have a large number of excellent youngsters in the first team squad it means that only the very best will make it from our academy, Moore as the perfect example.

Looking at our title winning U-21 team from last year:

Gunter - could very well make it.

Kyerematen - I don’t think he will.
Cassanova - I don’t think he will.
Dorrington - big question marks.
King - I don’t think he will.

Abbott - having a good loan.
Hall - got to step up and show what he can.

JSB - moved to the Spanish second division.
Santiago - same as JSB
Donley - not doing great at LO
Lankshear - part of first team squad

This team was the best of all sides last season and played some fantastic football, but realistically if even 2 of them make it at Spurs then it would be a massive success.

What I hope is that the players that don’t make it with us go on to have a good career in football.

You make such a good point in how difficult it is to make it to the too of thr game, I think when signing a scholarship it's something like 3% of players across thr country go through to their clubs first team football, so so difficult, not only to get as good as needed, but cope physically and mentally and then also be lucky enough to get a chance (more than 1 game to settle).

Although, I wouldn't worry too much about results, youth teams chop and change personnel all the time so it's really difficult to get settled teams and performances, a fair few dependencies, opposition maybe playing more senior, we maybe playing younger still developing etc

Long process and each player develops at different times, navigating it with a kid is a challenge too, talent is there but you release quickly that luck and being in the right place at the right time in the right setlling plays a big part as well.

We are having a real purple patch with our youth players, but it's important to remember how few make it to the very top, even when they actually become regular first teamers (Skipp, Winks, and further back, Bentaleb, Mason etc). When it does happen, as with Kane, it can be transformative for the best part of a decade. If Moore is the only generational talent (clue is in the name) that comes from that squad then we've done very well.

A player that looks world class in the U21's can often go no further than a mid to low table Prem side such is the talent they're competing against worldwide.

ange in his palace press conference saying we've got some others around the 15/16 age group going well, presumably hinting at williams-barnett and byfield.

Problem with the new under 21 league is that it is really a knock out comp. we didn’t play everybody twice, just finished at the top and qualified for the knockouts. Obviously we had a good team and as you say, 2 proper first teamers out of that team would be great. Especially as we already have one from the under 18s.
i don’t think you can judge an academy from under 21 results because the best under 21 players are usually out on loan. We had Devine and Philips last season. It’s a level playing field for the under 18s . Of course a lot of those players won under 17 and 18 cups the season before.
