Great stuff .
Won 5-1. czechia are their main rivals so every chance the boy Luka might just be in the USA with Modric and co.

Really hope Vuskovic has a strong pre-season and that we keep a pathway open for him. I expect he’d have gone out on loan again if Ange had stayed on, but with Frank I think there’s a much higher chance of him breaking through sooner. He’s far less likely to get exposed playing in a more compact defensive structure and there’ll be more opportunities for him on the occasions that he opts for a back 3. Given how much emphasis Frank puts on set pieces and his preference for aerially dominant CBs (Brentford ranked 1st for aerial duels, and among PL players, Collins and VDB ranked 2nd and 10th respectively), I think he’ll want to fast-track him as he’s such a massive asset in both boxes.

Interesting interview with Paris Maghoma where he touches on his time in the academy:

So as a gut feeling/early hot take, who out of the young guys do we think will benefit most out of Frank coming in? I'm thinking Vuskovic (back 3, more likely to get game time), Moore (using him like Mbuemo), and Donley, as we will be more likely to play with an out and out 10 and he can play understudy to madders, with kulu moving back out right

I think he'll like donley and vuskovic early on

Just watching the England vs Senegal match. There are from what i can tell, at least 7 London born players, with only one of them (the best one of course), having ever been on our books. At least 5 of them have been on Chelsea's books at one time or another, either on professional or academy terms.

This has got to change, I definitely want to see our academy with the aim of recruiting the best talent that London has to offer. Chelsea have been doing this for the last decade and have reaped their rewards.
