Let's just hope Will is okay and not too badly injured.

Edit: does not look good. He needed help walking back to the changing room after the penalties and was walking extremely slowly. Reminded me of VDV's last season.

Bugger. Been watching whilst in Poland with the sound of, and didn't realise there were penalties!

Enjoyed that, a pretty decent game, some great goals and a good penalty shootout to grab a bonus.

I like the idea of the pens at the end, gives it an extra edge and good experience for the kids.

Moore is a complete joke.

He is already a better player than Werner and Johnson. Just get him in the first team ffs.
I think he will be but it would have been mad to just throw him immediately.

He needs to stay a little humble and also keep him away from false expectations and I think EL is the perfect opportunity to throw him in and do what Kane did.

I think its the best way of integrating them.

But yes, we have to hope he can come in and show what the others are not giving us.

By the way, he hadn't been playing particularly well, if he's doing that in the first team everyone would be saying it's too soon.

Moore will get minutes with the first team this season, Ange has said it will happen.

Just wow. He is an absolute superstar this kid.
He has absolutely everything to become a truly world class player. We need to give him minutes this season.

I've just realised I was there the last time that a Spurs team played at Bristol Rovers' ground.

That was forty-six years ago, and that ground is now an Ikea.

We won 3-2, but the game is best remembered for our goalkeeper volleying the ball into the roof of his own net.

And, to bring it back to the current day, yes, he was shouted at by one of his own players.

Really quite vociferously.

Anyway, that was then and this is now, and I'll take 3-2 again please.
As soon as I read that, why did I think Barry Daines?, and searching YT just now for tonight’s match highlights I found this……Imagine that happening today - it would not be safe in an SC match day thread for at least 3 weeks after an atrocity like this. Astonishing!.

Former academy defender Jordan Hackett has joined Mousehole AFC following his release by Newcastle. Mousehole I think are step 4 in the Southern League Division one South. Hackett was an England youth international whilst with us.
I coached at Mousehole for years and
Stopped last year fully and
Out a bit now.

I might check out some games and see how he does.

I suspect the plan would be to get MM in against the 3 x EFL trophy senior mens side, europa league & cup comps in the first part of the season. Then reassess. Perhaps a sprinkling of first team prem minutes from the bench & join in match day squads for gradual exposure. For a 17 year old (as talented as he may be) I think that's reasonable.

Let's hope the U21's can get out of the group which many PL U21's don't manage to do in this competition.

After a slowish start by us it turned into a really good match and we are still using makeshift central defenders, get Dorrington back and who knows Wembley here we come. :)

Have to give Casanova some credit for the way he’s filled in for Dorrington this season & last.
