Defor has now left the club as one of the youth team coaches, be interesting to see where hw goes next in his ma gerial career, did well at u18 level, really well, was brilliant with all the kids both his own and opposition.

I love Defoe. Quality player for us, and just a proper decent human being. All the stuff with young Bradley was just incredible and he is a real role model for any player in my opinion.

I hope he returns to us one day as manager if he has aspirations of doing so.

Thought all the young guys gave a really good account of themselves tonight. Think a lot of people have definitely been sleeping on just how good Devine is

I love, love, love when we have academy players that truly feel like they are on the cusp of making an impact in the First XI. Following the loans, seeing fans reactions when they do well, keeping track of their performances (shout out @HugoFilmz ) . It almost feels like a 2nd fandom to supporting Spurs, in the end. Should be a fun year in this regard! Come On You Spurms!

Great night for the academy. Thought Devine, Moore, Hall, Donley, Lankshear all brilliant. It was frustrating to see Will replaced after 20minutes to accommodate Veliz getting minutes. Hope to see Will lead the line at Loftus Road on Saturday for at least a half.

Call me crazy but id start him up top, not just because he scored yesterday but because he's what the team needs. A proper fox in the box and held it up well. even more pleasing than the goal was the run he made for it, very few goals did we score like that last year, very Kane like.

Off the back of Yamal, Williams and Mainoo tearing it up at the Euros, maybe the common consensus of what age prem players need to be, is yesterdays news?

We’ve seen Wharton’s fast rise to prominence, my gut feeling is that we have talent coming through, that should be thrown in.

The energy, exuberance and lack of inhibition….I vaguely remember those days.

My hunch: Gray and Bergvall definate 1st teamers, Phillips likely too. Moore will be around 1st team. Devine might be kept for 1st team too.

Donley and Veliz will be loaned out, one of Lankshear/Scarlett kept for 1st team, other loaned out. Dorrington loaned out (perhaps in January). Hall loaned out or U21. Santiago, Soonsup-Bell, John etc. loaned out or permanent transfer

My personal opinion of the next generation of English footballers coming through is that they are technically superior. I think players like Gallagher & rice may not be around in the England team for as long as they currently think.
