Some of the skills he had were unreal. I thought he’d make it with us but for whatever reason it never materialised.

Kenny McEvoy? He didn't develop. When he left he blamed us for stalling his development which is unfair I think. The fact is that he just never got any better. His academy performances were mediocre and I felt he was fortunate to get the two years he had with U23s. His development did not warrant it. The Bale comparisons were a complete joke. They bore a passing physical resemblance if you squinted and ignored the fact that Bale was 6 ft 1"ish and McEvoy was 3 ft 1". Other than that the fact that they were both quick wingers there wasn't any similarity at all.

If Nathan had "got it" then he could and should have been this generation's Chris Waddle. His touch was immaculate, he had flair to burn and he could turn any defender inside out. Waddle worked out that flicks and tricks aren't worth anything. Goals and points are what count. Nathan never did.

Charlie Allen? Strongly linked to Leeds I think (if that's who you mean)

Ah, yes. Charlie Allen. No idea why we lost interest. It was us, Liverpool and Man City at one stage I believe so I don't understand why all of a sudden Leeds are apparently front of the queue now.

Harvey White now looks a similar size to Son and Davies in latest video must have grown a bit.

Roles is in an unfortunate position whereby he has a lot of competition ahead of him. Dele, Lamela, GLC and N'Dombele can all play in the same position. I think it would be in his best interests to get a move to the Championship next season with a view to making it permanent.

Roles is a very different player to any of them bar GLC. At Cambridge he seems to have mostly been used as one of the outer central midfielders in a three rather than his traditional 10 position. I think that's a good fit for him going forward. His movement, creativity, flair and long shots are really highlighted in that role. Dele is and always should be a second striker. Lamela is an inside forward; cutting in from wide. I don't see him as a 10. N'Dombele is a marauding 8. So I don't really see how Roles would clash with any of them bar GLC.

For those who think Cirkin is the one infected with COVID-19, I believe this is him pictured in training today.

Who’s making the decisions around these academy intakes now, given McDermott’s impending departure. I’ve not heard much around a replacement.
