That Montreal move is such an odd one. He’ll get the game time for sure but it’s a fairly big step down in quality imo.

That said I’m sure he’ll love it there. Montreal is an amazing city.

Really disappointed. No idea if Binks has orchestrated this himself for some reason or we've told him he's not wanted which I would find simply mindbogling.

David Dein Son has done us up like a kipper here. Probably be at Arsenal in 2 years. Did he actually sign a pro contract ? Presume he must have done but nothing comes up when you search twitter or google.
Why? None of Darren Dein's clients are at Arsenal.

Parrott, Cirkin and Skipp on the bench tonight :)
Pity that we can't get 2 or 3 up in a game for Jose to feel comfortable to bring them off the bench. Still hope it's a positive experience for them training and joining the first team

The Binks thing is baffling.

It's not like he just joined 18 months ago as an apprentice. He's been with us since he was 6 years old!

That's a long time to just suddenly up sticks at 18, when Mourinho's only been here 5 minutes.
Especially to join a duff team in a duff league. Doesn't really make any sense to me.
Yeah, Canada's nice by all accounts but it's hardly the place for a youth international to go and make his name.
Seems like a lack of real ambition, surely he'd learn more and improve more in a decent league?

Is it? Still wondering if its some kind of loan or perm....
Unfortunately looks like the later as our club could not bother to announce that.

did we even mention anything about Kirby after he left. This all feels a bit like that situation.

montreal are affiliated with bologna i think so maybe that's where binks will end up if he progresses.

i imagine this move has been on the cards for a while, back when our youth development was stagnant under poch.

Who was the last youngster to leave us and go on to become a top, top class player? One who would have ended up a first team regular at ours if they had stayed?

Genuine question. Im guessing it’s a fairly long time ago. I suspect Binks isn’t going to buck the trend. Still, a very strange move.
