Think the LB for City looks a good player small but very fast,Ben Knight was playing but apart from a good few touches at the start of the match he did not play well.

I think 4-0 would have been a fair result for tonight's match Parrott also hit the post before he scored the pen.

Two very good goals tonight ,Parrott is a big lad . I know citys team wasn’t the best I have seen , but normally we are so disjointed at U23s , because we tend to keep boys hanging around as we cant get Loans for them. But by the looks of things this year the older ones were deemed good enough for loans , so hopefully those will be announced soon .unless they are all injured which I doubt very much

Great result tonight and sounds.like a reasonable crowd.
Not seen or heard much about White until I saw him at the stadium test event vs Soton and then again on the summer tour. Like all players who make it to the top he seems to play with some inner steel and determination so is certainly one to watch.
Parrott is starting to look like a prodigy and is a monster for a 17 year old. We are going to have to be wary of him getting poached!!.
Don’t think there’s too much to worry about with that. Parrott just joined us last year and was already being courted by all the big clubs while he was playing in Ireland and he chose us. Would be quite odd for him to choose us, do well, get some opportunity in pre-season (and hopefully more to come) for him to then go elsewhere when he could have just done that from the beginning.

Isn’t he the guy who had a trial with us, but then chose them over us?

Looking at that U23 line up tonight I’d be surprised if all didn’t have PL or Championship careers at worst apart from maybe Tracey. Must be the best U23 team we’ve had in years.

As a side note what’s happened with Yago ? Not sure if mentioned but his Instagram actually says player for Spurs.

Does our youth players get more injuries than other teams youth players? Arr the coaches not good enough to help the players take care of themselves? I have read the youth threads for several years and it seems that many youth players who seems promising either get smell injuries again and again or serious injuries when they are near a breakthrough that stops their development and their career.

He was definitely a midfielder in the Liverpool academy. I remember he was Edwards' age group but I don't think was good enough to get in as a CM, as they had Patching, Gribbin, Diallo and Davies. I vaguely remember him finding his way in the England games as a utility RB but the main RB was Yates, who I never rated. I then think he might have been in and out of the u17s as a RB but mainly featured as a CM, but that's the last time I remember him for England before he started making a name for himself. IIRC TAA started getting converted to RB properly when he was a first year, possibly 2nd year, but I may not be remembering exact dates. If he played before that for Liverpool I think it was more as a handy man rather than his main position, the same way Bowden has played RB or White has for us as a LB.
Just read that he was mainly a CM for the Liverpool U16 (he captained them). For England U17, he only played CM 4 times out of 11.

He played for us a few times and scored for us as well, don't know if he was on trial with us we have took a few Ipswich players to youth tournaments in the past.

City paid over £700K for Ben Knight.

It’s never a great move to go to city. None of these boys have ever done anything for them. No doubt they have made money . Sancho saw the light. That was a big loss for City. If he had been ours and left like that we would have been pulling our hair out. Every chance of becoming one of the best players in the world, if not the best when Messi and Ronaldo have gone.
Bet Patrick Roberts is pleased to have ended up at Norwich on loan, having been farmed out to celtic and Girona. Must be 22 by now.
Foden will prob take Silva’s place sometime this season. Their only success but he’s been there from 8 yrs old.
