2-0 up John, he could have had a good goal a few minutes earlier with a mazy run and shot that was cleared off the line.

Been very impressed with Hackett at LB, very intelligent player with good passing ability and he have been getting forward with pace.

Knew I should've gone today damn 1st team playing at the same time. Wanted to see Hackett and John.

Assume he's playing well then? One of our most aesthetically pleasing footballers

Bsst player today Etete, he was a handful all game and nearly scored what would have been one of the goals of season with a shot from about 25yards out but just went wide.

Max Robson was also very good on the day and he is getting stronger.

Someone had Bennett as getting two goals so check the first goal.

Update: it was Etate with the first goal so Bennett only got the last goal.

What’s happened to Dane Scarlett ? Seemed to be around the 18s but not seen him lately.

Good report by lenon on yesterday Muir and Robson seem to be progressing very well. It’s interesting Lusala has moved to LCB of late maybe just for some experience but personally thought he looked a perfect modern day LB. And Skinner sounds like our typical Marsh Skipp product.

He got injured when I saw him play against Chelsea going in for a tackle. Looked fairly innocuous. He tried to carry on playing then got stretchered off. Hasn't played since.

Well he's normally a RCB and who looks very comfortable at RB, I'm not sure what game you saw him play LB but I've only seen him play there once, which is the last game I went to. And tbf he looked decent there. But he came through and looks a lot better as a CB, a very mobile one at that as he also looks very confident at RB.

Quite a few of our upcoming defenders are like that. Hackett, Watt, and BBW are all players I've previously seen at CB and look very good there but also seem to switch effortlessly to FB which is where I think all 3 mainly play now. Even Muir looked fairly comfortable at RB though not on the level of the aforementioned players.

BLF is the only defender before then who used to play FB and CB. All the others like, Eyoma, Tanganga and Binks are definite CB who if they played at FB were there to fit into a team or gather experience.

I don't see the purpose of Skinner. At the point he feels like a waste of a signing. Smacks of opportunity, but I'd rather give our u16s games at CB than play him. At DM he looked more competent having less responsibility alongside White and just handing the ball off. Again, I'd rather just let Casanova play there

Out of interest what are the thoughts on Bennett ? Seems to be having a good season is he getting close to having some senior squad involvement ? I seem him a bit Townsend like a player that could end up being a decent squad player for us but not really a top top player.

I am like others a fan of Bennett and his goal yesterday like a lot of his goals it was another Brilliant goal with him cutting inside and Curling the ball into the far corner.

Since he has come back from injury he has still been very good but he is not back to his very best yet and I think he played a lot better last year and yesterdays game was not one of his best games but he still scored one and set one up.

Bennett does have a few things he needs to work on his movement off the ball needs to get better and he will need to get stronger and he will need to work a bit harder when he does not have the ball but he is an existing player to watch when he is in the right frame of mind.

I asked about minor procedure. Was told he had something done, but not an operation so to speak I don’t know what that was. He has been training. But I have already explained JM’s views on him.

someone on gloryglory said he's been told that parrott's gone in the summer. don't know if he's reliable(probably not) but then it wouldn't surprise me. if i were parrott then i'd probably leave to be fair, especially if we sign another striker in the meantime.

Well he hasn’t signed a new contract, though 17 months left on it. Not saying he won’t sign one

In the Ally Gold video (can’t remember which thread it was posted in), he mentioned that Parrott was the 19th man for our game against Watford. So he would have been on the bench if any of the match day players was injured during the pre-game warm up.

i don't see why he can't at least be on the bench but then i guess we don't need him when son and lucas are doing such a fine job as false strikers.
