Nothing confirmed as far as I'm aware.

I'm certain that defenders Brandon Bryan-Waugh and Jordan Hackett, midfielders, Roshaun Mathurin, Khalon Haysman, Dante Cassanova and Shannon Brown, and forward Dane Scarlett are all going to be part of the intake. Others making up the numbers could be keeper Adan Hayton, defenders Ben Watt and Max Hudson.

Others in the group like Aaron Maguire, Donal O'Brien Brady, Renaldo Torraj, Jediah Bombo and Zidane Green-Bolessa have possibly moved on.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us bring in some outsiders because the group lacks depth.
Shannon Brown, Jediah Bombo and Brandon Bryan-Waugh are under-15s, I believe.

I’m pretty sure Zidane Green and Donal O’Brien Brady have been all been released for a while now.

Other possible inclusions could be Hamid Abdul-Salam (rumoured to be at Reading) and Oliver Turner.

Although there are some great individual talents in next years intake, the group as a whole is lacking and relied heavily upon under-15s playing up (Dorrington, Donley, BBW, Bloxham, McKnight etc.).

I was pretty sure Brown, Bombo & BBW were U16s and Abdul-Salam was an U15. Speaking of Abdul-Salam, I think you're right in that he's gone to Reading. If Brown Bombo & BBW are U15s then the new intake is even thinner than I thought.

Just did some digging.

Shannon Brown's DOB is 05-10-2004
Jediah Bombo's DOB is 04-09-2004
Brandon Bryan-Waugh's DOB is 06-10-2004

So you're absolutely right that they join the U16s next season.

Mark Chidi is a current U16 we forgot (DOB 01-02-2004). Not sure he's still with us though.
Williot Swedberg was also a part of the U16 group (DOB 01-02-2004), but again not sure he's still with us. He trialled with us from Hammerby in Sweden but then the news dried up.

I think Mark Chidi is at Stoke now (or another red and white striped team as the pics and videos I’ve seen were very poor quality), but left us during this season.

I highly doubt Swedberg is joining us as he was very disliked by our current players.

Chidi's Instagram confirms he's at Stoke although I think he had a brief spell at Reading after leaving us.

Interesting about Swedberg, I hadn't heard that.

This years intake is looking very, very small unless we bulk it up with kids from elsewhere. What have we got? Hackett, Mathurin, Haysman, Cassanova and Scarlett makes five definites. Hayton, Watts, Hudson and Torraj would take it up to 9 but I'd be surprised if anyone other than Watts made it in.

I’d guess the intake would likely look something like this:
Aaron Maguire - GK
Adam Hayton - GK
Benjamin Watt - CB/RB
Jordan Hackett-Valton - LB/CB
Jez Davies - DM/CM/RB/RW
Khalon Haysman - CM/DM
Dante Cassanova - CM/DM/RW
Renaldo Torraj - AM/LM
Roshaun Mathurin - LW/RW/ST
Dane Scarlett - ST

Maybe:
Max Hudson - LB
Hamid Abdul-Salam - DM/CM
Oliver Turner - CM/AM/LB

Maguire, Watt, Hackett and Scarlett are England youth internationals so they seem nailed on. Along with Hackett and Scarlett, Cassanova and Mathurin have appeared for the U18s this season so that often means they’ve already signed or at least agreed on scholarship terms. Haysman has been called up for England training camps and is someone else I’d have as nailed on.

To add to this, I noticed a player under the name of Ben Watt has appeared for Aston Villa U18s at right-back in December. This is quite likely to be our Ben Watt as the age and position corroborate that. Also, the appearance is listed on our Ben Watt’s Transfermarkt stats page.

Thanks for info guys certainly some great names lol. I think my favourite is jediah Bombo. I was thinking there might be quite a lot of young talent floating about with current situation even some clubs disbanding academies. On the other hand I guess some clubs may look to use kids and replace seniors on big contracts. But I do think if you know what you’re doing there will be some opportunities to pick up some great talent.

Was there any news on Cirkin injury had his foot in a brace in February. Depending what happens in the market I really think he might have a chance in 20/21.

Some of the names there are great!

Dante Cassanova - Italian Pornstar.

Dane Scarlett - Suave American Businessman in a movie.

Renaldo Torraj - Dad really wanted to name him Ronaldo, wife said no so dad “improvised”.

Jediah Bombo - Evil Bond character.

Zidane Green-Bolessa - The dad clearly duped the mum here. “Ere love what about first name Zidane”, wife “wow yeah where did you get that from?”, dad “I dunno it just popped into my head, random eh!”
I'm still disappointed that Shaq Coulthirst never made it with us. Screw the Harrys and Olivers, we need some proper badass names to come through.

Wouldn't it be great if we could just load the FM Genie Scout and check which ones were good potential or not

Good interview. Interesting he name checked rayan Clarke as most skilful. Not someone that gets talked about much.

Still gutted that Laste Dombaxe and Tomislav Gomelt didn’t make it.

I'd be surprised if we released Ben Watt. He was a really good player and England international. I made him a shoe in for the next intake.

I think they'll keep Turner as they seem to like him and can move him around the pitch. If Hudson is as good as he used to be they'll keep him as well.

100% I said at u16s he's the best winger I'd seen since Oduwa and was shocked he wasn't considered for England. He then got injured struggled for form and got put to RB in his first year. Second year he has gone backt to the wing and looked a lot better. He is still really skillful, quick and has a good shot on him. Bennett puts in more consistent performances possibly because he is physically stronger, but I like Clarke. You can search for my previous posts on him if you're interested.

Oduwa. Now there's a player that didn't live up to his potential. His technique was outrageous. He wasn't as effective as Edwards but he looked more snazzy doing his thing. I remember watching him as an U14/15 and he was just jaw dropping. His touch was sublime. The trouble was he always seemed more interested in humiliating the opposition fullback than getting in a shot or a cross.

Jon Obika is another. Paired with Kane in the academy for several years and he always produced goals/assists

I made a post a couple of weeks ago about some of the most successful academies in Europe and whether we could learn anything from them.

Disappointing to see that we're not even in the most successful 20 academies in England in terms of bringing through top league talent.

So i understand that most of the top league talent we've produced have stayed with us but we should still be producing players of a decent quality to play in the league.

This has been something i've looked into recently, especially since playing FM20, but i'm curious why some clubs continuously produce footballers talented enough to play in the top 5 euro leagues whereas we don't.

I try to discount the clubs that are the elite in their respective leagues or the ones with big historical following (like Anderlecht, Sporting Lisbon) and i also try to account for clubs which have monopolies of geographic areas (Leeds Utd, Dinamo Zagreb).

Any opinions on why we haven't been producing more top league talent

Its due to opportunity. The article says that Real Madrid Castilla produce the most from the "Big 5" leagues, but it isn't true, both they and Barcelona B play in Third tier Spanish league, so there is not 1 team from the "Big 5" leagues in that top 19.

2 things at play here. 1) The successful academies are teams aren't challenging at the top of the top tier leagues, so don't have the same pressure to succeed. 2) They have to produce players to sell to make money, so there is almost more risk not playing a youngster with high potential than playing him, where as the more competitive teams, it's vice versa.

Also, not sure what their criteria is, but we have Kane, Winks, Townsend, Daniels, Smith, Bentaleb & Veljkovic just off the top of my head, yet aren't on the list, where as teams with 2 players are.
