Tom Huddlestone returned to action as our Spurs XI team beat Barnet 2-1 in a friendly at Spurs Lodge on Tuesday.
The midfielder completed 80 minutes in his first outing since being sidelined with an ankle problem in November. Jermaine Jenas and John Bostock also featured.
Huddlestone was involved in the winning goal in the second half, his fierce strike from 25 yards was parried into the path of Jack Munns, who turned the ball back for Bostock to finish low into the bottom corner.
Kudus Oyenuga opened the scoring from the penalty spot inside five minutes after Massimo Luongo was upended.
In a competitive encounter, Barnet levelled midway through the first half before Bostock's winner in the 73rd minute.
Oyenuga, Luongo and Munns all went close in the first half and Bostock was denied by Roy Carroll in the Barnet goal.
Daniel Day had to clear off the line in the second half with the score still at 1-1 and Huddlestone drilled the last chance of note just wide.
"It was great for Tom's fitness to get the minutes in," said Technical Co-ordinator Tim Sherwood.
"He's never going to lose his ability and his ability to pass with both feet is almost unmatched.
"It was ideal for JJ as well because he's trained hard, but this is a different fitness.
"Barnet did well and I'm sure they wanted to impress their new manager (Martin Allen). It was a competitive game played at at good tempo, ideal for us."
