The lot down the road posted their financial results today so a few interesting bits of information came out when the inevitable comparisons were made.

Highest English revenue: MUFC £363m (2013), CFC £261m (2012), #AFC £243m (2013), MCFC £231m (2012), LFC £189m (2012), THFC £144m (2012).

Highest English wage bills: MCFC £202m (2012), MUFC £181m (2013), CFC £176m (2012), #AFC £155m (2013), LFC £131m (2012), THFC £90m (2012).

So the lowest revenue AND lowest wage bills of any of our competitors (and Liverpool). Amazing to see the gap in wages especially. Really puts what we've done in the past few years into perspective when you consider that there's at least a £40M gap a year on wages alone, never mind the money spent on transfer fee's...

Unfortunately that may not delight our players as much as it does other stakeholders

Please someone post that on rawk. They've been going on for months how their wages are about the same as ours now.

It's why they dislike - read fear - us. Or fucking well should do. You watch us when we get a cash-cow stadium with all the bells and whistles for the corporate big bucks up and running. DL with the same financial clout as most of the other top clubs?

Buy some lube, premiership. You're gonna need it.

How the hell are arsenal paying more in wages than City?!

I thought most of City's first team were on £150-300k p/w...

Edit: confusion

Are we sure Daniel's going to be here for that long? He's not getting any younger and I imagine running a club like this is incredibly stressful.

I'd like it if we were top of the tree if he ever did call it a day though :p

That's from 2012 though, any clue when we get ours for this season? Although I do think it is lower now, correct?

Aye good point. There were rumours of him staying on as chairman should new owners comes in but obviously that's down to the new owners I guess, unless the sale is dependant on such an agreement.

What with the stadium biz seemingly edging closer it's likely coming up to a point where the decision will be made or not wrt to a potential sale. Or maybe not. Maybe they want us the stadium, with a few trophies in the cabinet first and then sell us as a finished product for megabucks. Imagine the price they'd get?

Their (silly) point is that they think they will have reduced their wages to be similar to our's in the interim, and then if you engage in the discussion then they all say it's boring.

We are definately punching above our weight but the most important figure is wages/turnover ratio.

In this regard our own 63% is on par with Arsenal at 64%. Surprisingly, Chelsea are only at 67% which shows how much their CL win meant financially as well as anything else as it has helped them on their way to meeting the FFP rules.

No surprise to see City with the highest at 76% but United have the healthiest at only 50% which is obviously due to the fact they are a money making machine like Real and Bayern. Still quite surprised its only 50%.

They're also still paying out a lot on their debt.

I take it these figures don't include performance bonuses.

I worked this out as The Scum are spending approx 1.2M more that us A WEEK in wages.
Impossible. We're reliably informed by anyone with a pulse that they have achieved everything they've done using farts and sunshine.
