If Levy sacking a manager renowned for winning cup finals the game before a cup final doesn't tell someone how little he cares about winning, nothing will!

The negs going around on our posts show there is still, incredibly, a secret cabal of BSoDL lurking in the abandoned threads and collapsed forums of the most ancient parts of SpursCommunity...

And if you needed any proof that our fans are a bunch of pussies, then check out the neg reps my previous post received.

Doesn’t bother me at all though as this is exactly what needs to happen for Levy to fuck off sooner rather than later.
No one needs to feel threatened! You just need to reevaluate life in general. Perhaps get some therapy.

Whatever this club needs, it's not fans with that attitude.

It does have that Gerry Francis/Ozzie/Graham era feel to it, when we were just really aimless and without any sort of discernible strategy or long-term goal, and seasons would be just full of unpredictable results, defeats to all the top teams and the odd 3-0 spanking of some poor side at the Lane to keep us going.

Felt like we'd long moved on from that time but it seems that now the training ground and stadium are completed, ENIC has reached the end of its product roadmap power point and doesn't know what the club's supposed to be doing anymore.

Mourinho/Nuno/Conte/Ange has felt like we've reverted right back to those bad days.
I completely disagree here. Ange clearly has a long-term goal, and the injury crisis is clearly delaying us even looking like we're getting towards it, but with patience and players back and reaching 'smoother waters' we can get there.
We aren’t getting any players back for a while yet
Mikey and Richy? If Ricky can stay fit for a couple of months I reckon just he would make quite a difference with the poor form of Sonny and just new energy being injected into the front line.

This could be the definition of an optimistic rating:sneaky:

Here's the thing, I like going to the game, it's what I do, it's my fun, has been week in week out for 60 years, why the fuck would I not do it just because you've got the bleeding hump?
Good for you Worcester - I'm delighted for you! I hope that you're lucky enough to remember the heady days of the 1960s then.

Seriously though, you being a Daniel Levy Happy Clapper is a perfectly legitimate position to take. And if you are happy to keep paying your money on the absolute pretence of jam tomorrow, then you go right ahead and knock yourself out.

But the other side of that coin is that there are plenty of fans like me, both on here and elsewhere, who cannot wait to see the back of Daniel Levy and ENIC. And like it or not, that is a perfectly legitimate position as well.

A lot of us have had enough off the lies about being a properly run club with real ambition whilst our squad is threadbare and our parasitic owners continue to line their pockets.

I have converted my 3 kids and some of my friend's kids to the spurs cause and do you know what, I'm fucking ashamed whenever I see them after we're inevitably the laughing stock once again. Even my 8 year old son already knows that we are a joke of a football club that wins nothing.

And for those of you saying calm down - it's only football. It's not. It's more than football for many of us - It's about love, passion, pride. It's a religion. It's much, much more than just a game. But I totally get it that people may not understand that POV.

Whilst I've said above that your happy clapper position is legitimate, it truly depresses me that there are still plenty amongst us who are perfectly happy to keep letting Levy and Lewis get away with it some 25 years later.

Nobody should be made to feel bad about going to games because it lines Levy's pockets or something. If you want to go to a game then do it. Fuck anyone who says different like Tony here.

We get it you don't want Levy at the club or stadium, but let people do what they want with their own money. If they want to buy tickets, they can. If they want to buy merch, guess what? They can!

I hate this holier than thou attitude from some because others want to actually be at games supporting the team. You know, like supporters are meant to. You can go to games and want Levy out. It's not one or the other.

I agree that we have spent rather a lot over the years, I think 4th or 5th highest spenders maybe? But for all intents and purposes it’s mostly overpaying on mid range (potential sell on value) assets.
If we bought well once, instead of multiple “potentials” that rarely amount to anything more than what we paid, we may well would have had a far different trajectory in our fortunes.
The squad as of today is a result of the managerial revolving door. A mish mash and no coherence.
Hence we have always had trouble clearing the decks and getting the top targets we need (if reports are to be believed).
Unfortunately all roads still lead to Mr Levy.
"I agree that we have spent rather a lot over the years, I think 4th or 5th highest spenders maybe? But for all intents and purposes it’s mostly overpaying on mid range (potential sell on value) assets"

Levy didn't select the players to play for the Managers.

He spent money n the recommendations of the Chief Scout for the latter period (mostly under Hitchens), then Paratici and now Lange. We have made some quality signings over he past decade with of late Verts, , Dembele, Walker, Rose, Lloris, Eriksen, Dier, Toby, Wanyama and the like. All solid players and some truly World Class players among those mentioned.

Of late Solanke, Bergvall, Gray, Udogie, Porro, Johnson, Bentancur, and Kulu have been added with Odobert still too early to tell but all have been recommended to Levy as quality additions.

He signs the cheques but doesn't scout those players.

Overpaying is always something every club does, it's a frailty that exists. Buy low (Kulu / Bentancur) or hit a perceived high ceiling (Johnson / Solanke)?

What a club pays for a player depends on squad need, nationality, time of the season, position in league table, and squad strength.

Spurs have wasted huge sums of money, from way back when through to as examples, Soldado, Saha, Nelson, to of late LoCelso, N'Dombele Gill, Sanchez, and Richarlison.

The good thing is that it's looking like we are improving in acquiring good players, and adding youth and quality at the same time.

He also canned one for bad mouthing the club.

I believe that the squad, or most of them anyway, had more to getting Jose out of the door than any other reason.

Levy stands by the cub name, and players, of that there should be little doubting.

That was exactly the point I was making above Easily. If people want to continue to maintain the current status quo then that is fair enough. It’s a legitimate position for people to take. As I said above.

But it’s also fine for me not to like it. That’s also legitimate. As I also said above.

So we kinda agree I suppose.

I didn’t say he did, but there is a pattern of very very rarely getting our no.1 choice in the position…either because the perceived value was not there for the original player wanted or for the club to make a “club” signing based on potential resale value.
Of course this can only be 100% substantiated by people in the club at this times, but we have heard whispers over Levy’s tenure.
If the the transfer committee got player C instead of player A, the manager may have to work with what with what he’s got to do the best out of a situation.
Rafa VDV is the only player I can think of during Levy’s time who was at his peak that we signed (bit fortuitously we are led to believe). I cannot think of any other player…maybe Ndomble, but he was getting to being top tier (shame he didn’t).
Some of the potential purchases have worked out, some not, but it would be good to build a team for the here and now and not having to wait for the next manager to reap the rewards of the previous managers youth player.
it’s no secret we collect subpar players then struggle to get rid of dead wood…yes a lot of teams go through this, but with us it seems never ending.
As you say with the newer setup, hopefully these situations are a thing of the past…

You are talking out of your arse pal.
Whatever I think or don't think about Daniel Levy don't come into it. The point is it's my club and I ain't going to stay away because you are pissed off. Use your silly little insults all you like but you ain't the rightful conscience of Spurs fans so don't act like you are.
You actually imagine you can tell me what supporting Spurs is about like I don't understand it?
60 sodding years and you believe I think it's just a game!

I didn’t say that you specifically think it is just a game. But that’s what others on here have posted.

I was not trying to insult you.

A week's break now which is as long as we've had for months, I'd tell them to stay in bed until Wednesday.
Ha ha, you just know that Bissouma's going to be inhaling balloons, because it's New Year's Yves, innit? Bents is going to be criticising South Korean fireworks for all looking the same, Cuti's going to drop his mate gourd on his dedo gordo, Mikey's going to contract the Bubonic plague, Mickey's going to tweak his hammy again chasing a meatball down the garden and under a bush, Richy's going to relapse doing his pigeon impression during Auld Lang's Syne, Destiny's going to realise he's still a child and get kidnapped by elves, Davies will also get kidnapped, but by Fog Benson, and Willy's going to tweak again filling his new Xmas boots. And it will all be Ange's fault because he once Barbied a Joey. Happy New Year, everyone!
