Every game looks difficult tbh. We are not a good team.

i agree with the sentiment. The one thing, however, is our points tally with half the season done: 24 points. That is a really poor return, and it represents a significant regression. Maybe we just need to ride it out, but the longer it continues the more relegation becomes a factor. I want Ange to stay but if this doesn’t improve by February, I’m unsure if we have any choice.
Yes but the reasons for that regression are the well documented injuries and having to flog what’s left death

Reckon we should just forfeit every game for the rest of the season and take the relegation. Rather that than have to watch us play again

Had a chuckle to myself when Forster went down and then Udogie went off injured. Oh and when Bentancur comes back from his suspension to be suspended again almost immediately as he was minutes away from making it through..

Couldn't make it up really. Though as much as he did tweak it today I just think he's on borrowed time. Can't see anything but losses to Arsenal and Liverpool. Newcastle on their day can cause problems as we know, hopefully the week's break helps.

I can't see him lasting the season at this point.

Wolves did not even start their top striker, and their best player went off at halftime.

They are starting Matt fucking Doherty, and Craig Dawson ffs.

Next 3 league games

H NEWCASTLE
A ARSENAL
A EVERTON

only good news is, if he isn’t sacked after todays shit show then he certainly will be by 20th Jan

Really tough that. Not sure about the Newcastle one. I know they're on good form and our form is poor, but I think that's still a 50/50 game with us being at home.

Absolutely cannot seeing us winning at The Emirates or Goodison at all. The latter is the exact type of game we crumble in despite who it's against.

Facing the real possibility of no wins in those next three games. Sorry for sounding so glum in that regard!

It’s a really interesting how we have such a split fan base on the current situation/management. Most posts have as many agrees etc as they do disagrees. I can’t remember such a polarised split, or is that just me?

Very rarely post but to those saying ange is done who comes in and does any better?

The amount of managers we have had without success is baffling when some have gone on to do well elsewhere.

Managers get approx 18 months at our club before being sacked is it just me that thinks the problem is not the manager.

Genuinely don’t think any manager would do well at our club with the structure / people at the top.

If you don’t beat teams like Wolves at home then I don’t see how we will pick up many points at all. We could get dragged into a relegation scrap quite easily. Some may say “we’re too good for that” I don’t think we are

I thought we were decent enough without really deserving to win.

My biggest worry is still how the central midfielders are expected to cover our full backs and the wingers - Son and Johnson - get a pass defensively, when neither of them is contributing enough offensively to justify it. I know Johnson scored and that was good play but he and the rest of the team just shows such a lack of clinical edge in so much of what they do.

We are still getting outmuscled too often, some of our passing is woeful, some of the off the ball movement both offensively and defensively is poor or just looks like the wrong way go about things tactically, and too often there is not enough conviction - be it going through on goal, shepherding the ball out of play, holding a player off or just defending as a unit.

I don’t see it really improving either, which is really troubling

The ball is hit quickly, hard and high. I don’t think many GKs would have saved that. Sometimes you have to concede that it was a really good goal.
It was a great finish and maybe only 1 out of 20 keepers get a hand to it to save it, but leading up to that he looked like a striker playing in goal in a 5a-side game. Just looked totally unprepared for what was unfolding infront of him.

But we are 11th so what right do we have to be beating a talented and resurgent team like wolves? The same way we should have beaten a 3rd place Forest?

Maybe we just fold the club and then the club can put concerts and NFL matches on every week and we don’t have to suffer anymore. 🙏
Greenest club in pl if you saw the advertising hoardings during the game
Not sure if that’s referring to our environment team or our playing /medical/recruitment/leadership teams

Christ I hate most of these players.

And Timo Werner, I have no words for this signing.

see ya Ange

But you are missing the bigger picture; They were both cheap and don't demand to high wages!
