Back from the game and feeling rather happy
Usual story, dominated completely but gave up two great chances the second of which they scored from, thanks enormously to Jarrod Bowen, like him or not he's a real % player and a fighter.
Irritation was just setting in when Deki scored and released all the pressure even though it's fair to say their keeper pulled off a couple of top saves in the first half.
Wasn't pleased to see Maddison off with a knock at half time but Pape Sarr was an excellent replacement and second half we had a lot more movement in the box over and underlapping and we got what we deserved.
Good to see Sonny back and I thought Solanke is looking more and more the real deal at centre forward, strong and good feet, took on their CB's and left them for dead plenty of times today.
All in all a jolly good show

A most enjoyable game all round. If we had a little more consistency we'd be a very dangerous team and firmly in the top 4 hunt. Consistency is a tough ask for a club still in reboot/rebuild mode though.

Lots said about tactics and specific player qualities etc but if Ange can truly change the mentality/fortitude around this club then whether or not he actually leads us to the promised land himself, his legacy here would be cemented.

If it wasn't for that capitulation last week, we'd been sitting in a brilliant position. With most goals scored and the best GD.

Which would be incredibly impressive for a team I feel are still growing and have a long way to go.

Sadly that defeat last week has a lot of people with their finger on the trigger.

Anytime we concede or give up an attack, people are out with the knives.

Just enjoy the journey.

Yeah, I would say we have been frustrating far too often. But we are far from some of the past spurs teams, where I did not see us improving. We have played some excellent football and shown improvements defending set pieces, our attack is free flowing, press improved and the 2nd half showed how dangerous we are when we move the ball quick.

The only poor performances have been Coventry and 2nd half to Brighton. The rest of the bad results have pretty much been down to poor finishing and nothing more. Buzzing we destroyed West Ham. Too often we suffer when they raise their game against us.

Back home from the game, a very satisfying performance, the only shame was we couldn’t put more in.

The only Spammer I feel sorry for is my wife, she took it well sitting with me in the North stand, and I gave her a consoling hug but for the 99% of Spammers you totally deserved that after all of the shit and bitter bile you come out with about us over the years and decades.

Now I’m off for a long awaited look on the Kumb website and I will go right back to the start of the game and enjoy reading all their cockiness and trash talking about us before it all comes to a shuddering halt and takes and altogether different turn. I haven’t read it yet but from some of the references I on heard on here first I’m in for a treat.

Good win. Udogie really needs to liven up in defence. Johnson’s defensive work rate is poor too.

Agree entirely. Udigie’s defending really needs some work. He has to prevent that cross going in. For all Johnson’s goals lately the defensive side of his game is really poor. He is often very slow to get back to help Porro. With their goal when he sees Porro tucking in and then dropping back towards the goal he has to pick up Kudos. He is very slow to recognize the danger. In general our defending at the back post is very poor. Far too often we leave players unmarked in acres of space. It’s something the coaching staff must rectify.

Kulusevski has passed him as the preferred creative outlet behind the forwards, and so Spurs can't carry a player not committed to the hard work in the midfield. Needs to find another gear to his game.

Alan Sugar's face was every Spurs fan's face in that moment. Werner is so shit! All attacking momentum died as soon as he joined the game. It's not just the goalscoring, the bloke can't execute a three yard fucking pass properly!

To be honest I don't think any player wearing a Spurs shirt deserves to be called 'shit'.

Then again perhaps as a supporter of the team and club since the early-seventies have become old fashioned.
