It helps that there will be less people to pass it square too. Will have to be more directBizarrely enough, being down to 10 men (and being a goal up) will help Spurs score more goals in the second half.
We play better and are far more deadly and accurate when on the break.
We perform more poorly when the opposition get 10 men behind the ball. We haven’t properly solved that conundrum yet, consistently.
We have players (and Son has suddenly upped his game another 50% since the sending off) that can destroy any team on the break.
Southampton will have the majority of the possession in the 2nd half (hopefully) and we can pounce and play fluidly when given a quick turnover in possession.
This can work well for us. As long as heads don’t drop and we maintain energy and enthusiasm.
