Things surely would have looked at least a little more coherent if we'd just adjusted to:

Lloris
Aurier Alderweireld Vertonghen Tanganga
Dier Winks
Son Ndombele Sessegnon
Moura
Unable to explain how we went all half with the shape we started with, total confusion and getting pulled apart by Saints. Hopefully after half time we've at least switched to a back four.

Considering the fact people have spent the last week and a half saying we don't have a complete team (no hold up striker etc) then why are people questioning what they are witnessing?

This wasn't suddenly going to come together with (again) all the holes people point out on a daily basis on here.

We've look disjointed and cumbersome for the most part.

We score the next goal, we're laughing again. This season is pretty much going to be like this for the remainder, I reckon. Might as well accept that quick sharpish and you won't be asking the same questions match day in, match day out.

This is a shambles, Dier is simply a waste of space and frankly we would be better playing with 10 men. Dier and Moura need to be dragged, let’s get Parrott and Fernandez out there and change to a back 4 and push Sess further up.

Ndombele blowing out of his arse again ?.
He is a disgrace. I can except bad performances but to be sooo unfit after training day in and day out every day and be so unfit after 7 months especially when he clearly has a lot of talent is not good enough.
Not sure how this gets a disagree I have never seen a player at this level look so unfit after so short a time. He makes a couple of runs and looks fucked. It is disgraceful. I was so excited to see him play with the rep he came with not just the price tag but he looks dead within 15 minutes every time

Dier and Sessegnon’s passiveness is like playing with 9 men. Having Son and Moura not passing to each other is like playing with 8 men. And having Verts such a liability at the back and Lloris in shaky keeper mode is like playing with 7 men. Jose picked a very poor team and system and hasn’t changed it after 10 mins when it was obvious. If the same side comes out after HT I think I’ll find something else to do as I’m getting very angry watching this!

3-0 away at Brighton suggests that we was no better under poch.

The three years before that one result suggests were we FAR better under Poch with the same players @Primativ is suggesting are all complete shite.

So either Poch is a very good coach who got a tune out of those players for three years - or Mourinho is a very shit coach who can't get a song out of them for three weeks.

Nb: I don't believe either of these are necessarily true except that Poch CLEARLy got a tune out of those players.

My point was that Primativ thinks all these players are all shit yet sacked the bloke who got them to play.

Right?

I'd suggest Mourinho will get a tune at some point but that's not Primativ's point.

Thing is I dont honestly think the plan is to sit deep and soak up pressure, its just a necessity as we cant hold onto the ball long enough to do anything else, before we get out we've coughed up the ball.

Ok this is a bold statement, but performance wise, so far, I think this is the worst we have ever played that I can remember.

Would like to see Fernandes and Lamela in second half for Dier and Vertonghen who are two of the least mobile players I’ve seen for a long time and are now liabilities.
Lamela's not even there!

We play so negative in almost every match, sitting back and just lumping it forward, hoping for the best on the counter.

39% possession at half time at home to Southampton! 2 shots, 1 on target. They have had 8 shots, 5 on target. Shocking.

We need to be more positive and actually get the ball down and play through midfield.

How? Who with? I'm pretty sure Lo Celso would have played as would Bergwijn but they weren't available neither was Lamela and Dele obviously isn't 100%. I'm disappointed like you but I think this is what we had to deal with unless anyone thinks Parrot could do a job I guess.
All we need is for our forwards to make the right decisions, what's the chances?
They said Lo Celso was not injured but had been rested. He's been our best player recently he would have made a big difference.
