I actually think our best shot at CL next year is to drop into the Europa and try to win it.

Yeah, I know...

We did look marginally better when he moved Lo Celso central. Surely Poch can see that he needs to be the creative hub from the middle (similar to Eriksen before he went on strike).

Thats all part of the problem. Even playing players who should start, Poch doesnt know how best to utilize people like Lo Celso. I have been saying this for months, alot of our wins in previous seasons have papered over Poch's short comings with regard to tactics and game management and know the hens have come home to roost

Just back from the game with wet feet and aching back, had to drive to the game because the trains weren't running, parked by angel road which it turns out is a bit too far for my hips nowadays. It was pitch black, cold and pissing down all the way back so am I miserable? Not really because I gave up on achieving anything more than integrating new players and changing the team this year and whether we like the result or not that was what today looked like to me, a work in progress.
As for the game I thought it was a good game one I'm sure the proverbial neutrals would have enjoyed and the opposition were obviously a tight group playing for each other knowing their own jobs and where their teammates will be and they worked their socks off, an example to follow.
As for us I thought we showed some good signs and Lo Celso is potentially a real cracker, we lost something when we took Dele off but seemed to get it back again when Moura came on.
I'm actually optimistic about the future but it is going to take a whole lot of patience.

Five hour round trip in miserable weather for that crap, really has me questioning whether it’s worth it. Then I remember alternative was looking after kids...

"It was an even game, difficult for us - they are a very good, organised team, it was difficult to play in the first half, second half we were better. Overall, it's a fair result," Pochettino added.

IN WHAT EFFING UNIVERSE WERE WE BETTER IN THE *SECOND* HALF?!?!?!

The fact Poch doesn’t seem bothered that we had an “even game” with Sheffield United and that a draw was a fair result says enough about him.

He needs to go. This would’ve been a three point banker in any of our previous seasons and anything less is a failure that he’s failed to even recognise.

we are dog shit at the moment. poch has about 2 weeks to turn it around before the season becomes a write off.

As much as I like Poch and as much as I give respect for him on what he has done, but seriously, he has had so many "2 weeks" to turn this shit around, but it hasn't. He had the whole pre-season to turn it around, but he couldn't. I just do not have any faith on him to turn it around anymore.

Stop banging that drum. Poch will not be fired after this. He will be given time to rebuild which is what he wanted all along. And rightly so.
If I'm going to be honest, thinking about it now, I'm not really sure I believe he can turn it around anymore. It's largely me being 'loyal' to Poch (and I would love for him to succeed with us), just something's not right. We have incredibly talented players in the squad, they haven't become bad players. But the big problem we will have, is who we get? The very best managers, want City levels of spending. We can't offer that right now.

Poch deserves a couple of windows to turn it around, we owe him that much if his heart is still in it. We can see the problems and I am sure he can too. There is also not an obvious candidate out there to replace him.
