Dier had a decent game overall against RSB but what caught my attention was his interviews this week were he said he was finally glad to be over his ill health and glad to be back playing again. The way it was worded implied he kinda knew he was going to be actively involved more often... therefore seeing him in the line up and the inclusion of TND and GLC, and the omittance of Rose, Toby and Eriksen implies the penny has finally dropped with Poch.

Not that I’m happy that Dier had been unwell for so long but kind of glad that their has been a reason for his form and lack of games.
Thought he played well in midweek and hope we see the real Eric Dier from now on

Maybe there's no penny dropping.

Maybe it's just that Pochettino reckons Ndombele and Lo Celso are ready to play their full part.
It would seem to be the case. Surely he would've preferred to have benched Toby and Eriksen earlier in the season

Really disappointed that Sess and Foyth arent starting

I can fully understand why, RSB was Foyth’s 1st full game for us since his injury and Sess’ 1st noticeable involvement since his serious hamstring injury. Subject to the form of Aurier, Davies etc I think it will be closer to the Xmas busy period before we see them playing more regularly.

Happy with the lineup would have had Foyth in personally but apart from that, that’s the team I wanted

Excellent line up. Would have liked Foyth to start, but maybe he's not ready, or maybe Poch wants Aurier to get a game so he doesn't dwell on the Gomes injury for too long.

The funny thing is, we now have 3 very vocal players starting for us.

Gazza loves blasting the defenders, get your mind out of the gutter ;)

Dier is very vocal and probably our most natural leader when he hasn't got man flu for the year

Dele is a proper moaner at some of the players, which is a little ironic when he isn't at the races but i like to see it when someone plays the simple pass you can see him be like wtf and actually speak up

Was really worried what team we would see, very happy with this. Would love Sess to get some minutes as well.

Chelski won the league Terry and Cahill at CB. Liverpool play two right footed players at CB. I could go on but think you get the point.

Yea I get it but it just seems more fluid when we have a left footed cb

Really disappointed that Sess and Foyth arent starting

I like look of Sessegnon but still apprehensive about him at full back, whereas Davies is a lot more sokie (he was also carrying an injury until recently so hopefully can get to his best now).

I do like option of Sessegnon from bench for about 60-70 minute mark to bring on some fresh legs and maybe if we hopefully do pick up a winning run we can look to see how he does at left back.

Would have preferred Foyth too but Poch has always rotated his full backs (really odd KWP isn’t getting a sniff though considering we were supposed to be more in favour of keeping him over Aurier in summer).

Dier isn’t as good as a prime Toby or Jan but against RSB we had a brick wall in front of the CB’s which goes a bloody long wall to protecting both the defence and negating any weaknesses they have.

Most of you would agree with me when I say that I’m nervous ahead of this match. Let’s continue our good performance from Wenesday’s match.

Really glad to see that poch is finally being ‘brave’ in dropping a number of players that are looking to leave the club.

I Guess that he couldn’t start a similar line up earlier due to the injuries and fitness levels of some of today’s starters.

Hope to see Sess & Foyth get more game time in the next few games.

Bloody hell, is Poch feeling alright? 1st balanced and exciting EPL line up of the season.
Just pulled up Sky Sports app for the line up and thought I was seeing things! ?

Very pleased to see that Poch hasn’t tinkered too much and that the Sanchez/Dier partnership getting more game time.
