Well the football has been frustrating, but lots of pretty good things to take away from that half. Defense looked more solid than usual, Sanchez popping up all over, and we kept Werner pretty quiet. Bergwijn still looks class and Gedson showing some bursts of real creativity. We look like we've been instructed to sit back and conserve some energy. Hopefully there is a moment coming where we flip the switch and really take it to them.

Im no expert in football but I thought I understood a little - turns out maybe I know nothing. I don’t understand how we get battered every game by every quality of opposition from Middlesbrough to Man City and somehow win or achieve a respectable score line. I thought you aimed to win by playing better than your opponent. What are we trying to do? Play worse? Does Mourinho know something no one else does? Baffled.

We must have been instructed to play this way. We know we can play much much better than this. We also can attack far greater than we've seen tonight. It looks like we're just following orders.
It’s the exact same as vs City and Liverpool, just sit tight and wait for the game to open up. People seem to forget that this isn’t really how Leipzig like to play either, they prefer to win it back in midfield and flood forward, so we’re not giving them the opportunity

I can only assume we think they will tire in the second half and so we will get a couple of chances?

We need to be extra careful when Olmo gets subbed in, he can make incredible killer passes. Sanchez will need to continue on his excellent first half.

Doing well to still be in it. It’s almost like wears missing out 2 best players!

Ferdinand shouldn't be a pundit. I doubt he can even spell it, let alone do it as a job.

I guess were going to just have to get used to low scoring games from now on & turn into Sheffield United, we just gotta hope we can nicks goals like they can !

but against the press, you need an out ball. so you need a target man (RB have Schik for example). or you need someone to make the right runs (which Dele sometimes does, but Moura almost never does as he wants the ball in to feet).

or you need someone to be brave and break the line with the ball like Lo Celso did. I think Ndombele could do that second half, when RB tire (hopefully).

I think Ndombele will come on at some point....

I do think however whilst you have apoint re the outball, all that would be different is we would hoof it to Kane... yeah it may stick a bit more but the tactics are still shit... the only reason we arent down is because Hugo and they missed... im not going to say lucky because if you cant score then you cant finish in my view.

We are all just running blind alleys... and chasing shadows.

Tim Howard just said that Spurs need to get an away goal here to stand a chance in this tie and I think that sums up our performance.
