got no idea what to expect, literally anything could happen haha.
Yup. When I'm convinced we haven't got a snowball's chance in hell of winning, we win; and when I'm convinced there's no chance we'll fuck it up, we fuck it up.

Not sure what to expect today, but a part of me is hoping for a midfield 3 of
Ndombele, Lo Celso and Winks…

Thinking about it, I wouldn't be at all surprised if we play Aurier as an auxiliary winger with Tanganga at RB behind him. This frees up Lucas to play up front and Bergwijn to play on the left.

It's not what I would do but think it's likely given previous lineups.

Very high chance of that.

You might be onto something with that suggestion mate

That wouldn’t be too bad an idea, given the circumstances. Aurier would have to work his nuts off to actually concede a penalty if we pushed him further up the field

Just realized Leipzig has a fair few injuries themselves + a suspension. Anyway, really feels like a 50-50 match. One would think we as runner ups and an experienced CL team can take advantage of that, also as Atletico showed last night, playing at home is an huge advantage.

2-1? Wouldn't be ideal with them scoring an away goal but our defence is such a liability I can't see them not scoring.

If we want to go through we’ve got to win it tonight IMO. An early set piece, long range strike, pull something out of the hat, get on top of them, capitalise on their lack of experience and score at least a couple.

And our two most likely players to pull out a long range strike from no where are unfortunately injured.

Yeah agree. Think we need a 2-0 scoreline.

important is that the game is wide open for the return leg. So don't lose by two goals or something like 2-3, that would probably be a bit pressure too much.
At a return leg the home advantage is one thing. To hold the nerves and keep a clear head the last 30 minutes or seconds is deciding.

Nkunku is the one , I am really worried. He is so good in whatever position he plays. He is being played in CM, LW and as AM. Very good at setpieces. In Bundesliga, he has the most number of key passes (51) for U23 players - more than Sancho (47).
No idea where he will be deployed - My guess would be left wing, so he can get behind Aurier.
For this reason alone, I hope we play with back 5 Aurier, Tanganga, Toby, Jan, Davies. It might be a bit defensive but we need all the cover against this Leipzig team.

Under Poch, wins against Madrid and Dortmund grew a further sense of confidence in Poch's system. We don't really have that this time - it's a counter attacking philosophy with a few new players in the mix. I'm really not sure what to expect tonight...

all of me is hoping for that. got to win the home games, and all these guys can provide cover to the back 4, while receiving the ball on the half turn to optimize transition.
