If the worst happens and we go out. Winning the europa is a route back into the competition. Not to be scoffed at. 4th place is looking increasingly competitive....

all of our rivals will still be in europe too though, are you saying the only way we can compete with them is if we have an advantage in some way?

We didn't strengthen anywhere near enough and are threadbare in certain parts of the squad...I just think that with the way other teams have been developing that Top 4 this season is going to be critical to the club pushing forward.

We have much more chance of getting into the CL places without the extra games IMO. Would like our first full season at the new WHL to have Champions League football to be honest and just can't see us being able to compete along all fronts in our circumstances, especially after the World Cup, Window etc.

If you gave me a choice between a trophy (Not Europa League) or Top 4 this year in particular...it's no contest, Top 4 all the way for me.

Besides the nature of life is that we'd draw Arsenal in the EL. That'd be a grudge match that'd be remembered for years.
Nope getting the wins , and going through the CL is better. Good for seeding in future too.

Winning it will be difficult with our squad IMO. In the event we drop into the Europa League, Poch will probably select weakened teams particularly in the first couple of rounds. Rightly or wrongly he'll always prioritise premiership games over other competitions.

I'd prefer Arsenal the perennial legends in european football because even Ipswich Town have been more successful in the competition.

That's quite an attacking line up. I want five before half time.

Great selection!

Pleased that Gazzaniga is playing and we appear to be going for the jugular!

3-0!
