We didn't fuck it up, the Premier league did by allowing United to play on Friday whilst trying to force us to play on Sunday.
What the hell were they thinking?
In fairness, I presume the game dates were decided before the season began. They really had no choice to move our game, but it was Villa that threw their toys out of the pram over the shift.

Fuck 'em.

Spurs and Man U are woeful. I don't know what to make of the Europa as a competition when clown shows like these two teams are in the final. Conversely, I don't know why two teams can play with spirit and pragmatism in that cup but are utter dog shit in the league.

Was this strictly down to the manager only though? I watched this and we just literally got cut open like a knife through butter so easily. The positioning was all over the place, the passing out from the back is some of the worse I have ever seen, and the lack of wanting to try and no passion shows a completely different vibe to what I saw on Thursday. If Ange has them coached the same way as Thursday but the players are not upto par in performing the same way than surely this has to come down mainly to the players?
We didn’t set up today the same as we did on Thursday, or away at Frankfurt for that matter. If we had maybe(?) Palace wouldn’t have found it so easy. The players may have some blame but it’s the manager that has us set up sensibly in the the EL but set up so wide open in the PL. I fail to see the thinking behind it.

The irony is that Villa play us before the Final and ManU after the Final!
We’ll probably play a weakened side or our starters who won’t want to get injured. Manu will either have players who have celebrated too much if they’ve won the Cup or players too depressed to care because they lost the Final.
It’s a win win for Villa which is unfortunate because ideally we don’t want them to get into the CL next season. If they do they will invest more and begin to grow and grow but if they don’t they’ll have trim their squad because they are financially stretched.

Had Villa made the FA Cup final it would have been moved regardless. I don't get why they're so up in arms about it.

No they were decided a month or two ago when the television made their decisions.

If this season's rules had applied last season we wouldn't have even been in the Europa league we'd be in the Champions league.

I’m still seething about yesterday which was totally unacceptable and an insult to the fans, many of whom had flown half way around the world and paid big money to watch that dross.
It’s quite right that you should not let football get under your skin and ruin your life, but when you see an unprepared and demotivated team going through the motions it’s hard not to let it affect you - totally unprofessional by the club, from the top down.

It just feels like even the 2nd string don't want to play at half effort because they want some involvement in the Final and don't want to risk injury. I could be wrong but it has felt like this for so long in the League. I'm fully aware we do need a bigger and better squad, by the way.
