Gedson had a really good game, but missed a penalty in a shootout (along with 2 other players) so now he’s been deemed shite.

Get a grip you knee jerking tarts.
I think you’re being a bit generous with “really good game”. He is ok is a sea of crap. GLC is by far our best player.

Bunch if fucking fairies taking the penalties.
Lamela looked about as unconfident as anyone in history in taking his. Rabbit in headlights.

Creative hindsight. Poch had signed out already.

What is correct to say is that we failed to support Poch 2/3 years ago, when it mattered. By this stage it was already too late. CL broke what was left of the club.

He’s not been here long, and yes we were terrible before he arrived, but do you honestly think he’s the man we need to get us out of this situation? He was brought in for instant results. He’s not getting them and we’re playing terribly too. I’m not saying sack him now, but if it carries on like this I couldn’t advocate giving him money for a big rebuild either.
Who said that? Who can verify that? Nobody in the right mind will say that, neither would he be in the wrong mind to tell Levy he can. Such statement always contribute to the judgement of him and that is really an unfair measure.

And for the records, he did improve for a short period, before the injury crisis worsen the situation.

As I said at the end of 90 minutes, you can argue that it was only 1-1 due to a dodgy bit of goalkeeping but we came out for the second half and didn't even attempt to play any football. It was just negative, sit behind the ball, try and nurse our way to the 1-0 win.

That is just a massive gamble, a dangerous game to play at the best of times, and quite frankly if teams do that with so long left on the clock then they deserve to be bitten on the arse.

I also just don't see how that approach will work with the current group, keep trying it and it will keep failing. To sit and soak up pressure (sometimes to the extreme) you need outstanding pure defenders, a rock solid back four + cm2 plus also probably a couple of decent 'defensive' dependable sacrificial wide players to make two banks of four.

We don't have that, we have Aurier whose instinct is to attack, Sanchez not quite there ye but the best option, Dier trying to remember how to play at centre back, rookie Foyth, rookie Tanganga, decrepit Jan, decrepit Toby, one-paced Davies, rookie Sessegnon, absolutely no central midfielders who can sit and screen a defence really, rookie Skipp being the closest to it, and then people like Moura, Lamela, Son, Alli, Bergwijn who either don't have the temperament, smarts, or physical ability to protect a flank.

If Mourinho wants to play this way long term then no one is going to stop him, but at the moment he is just shoehorning a group of players into tactics they just aren't suited to and he previously employed with high quality, usually ultra experienced, low error count, out and out defensive players and had a rock solid platform. It might be different when he gets to mould the squad in his image but until then this approach will fail more often than not. For the rest of the season we may as well just go for it and take the game to teams, that wont solve all the problems and indeed might not work, as we saw at the weekend, but it's closer to the strengths of what we presently have than trying to sit and soak up pressure.

That’s bang out of order.
We should have got him three years ago as back up to Hugo as he was available.
Krul has a presence and shithouse tactics under his belt, exactly what you need in a keeper.

Always loved Krul when he was at Newcastle. He would have been the sort of backup player, had we signed him of course, that would have showed our intent to actually invest in the squad with the clear intention of trying to win a little bit of silverware.

He's got every right to try it on.

It's up to the officials to stop him.

That's why he's a renowned penalty stopper.

And why they just won.
Thought this post was about Dier going into the crowd until I got to the bold sentence and realised you were talking about Tim Krul... :playful:

Gonna a big half empty stadium next season then. That might wake Levy up!
I'm not completely defending him although all things considered, I'd still rather have Levy/ENIC and who can afford to buy us anyway?

Great, so Dier will now be getting a ban too!

Mind you, going by a lot of the comments in this thread, I can't say I blame him for wading in.

No knee jerk. He needs to go now before he destroys the club. Fuck letting him loose with Transfer money.
Levy should beg Poch to come back. I desperately didn’t want him sacked but thought JM was the only real choice once he went and backed him. I was wrong there, all the worst doom mongers were right. The football is shit. The games we’ve won have been laughable , the City game where half on here thought it was a tactical masterclass was a joke. If City had their shooting boots on that day they would have had five.
