Welcome to the Spurs vs Newcastle Match Thread! COYS!
They have Pope out, a couple defenders injured and Schar is suspended. We can get at them, it's just keeping Isak and co out long enough.
High scoring game me thinks.

The week's break will hopefully help a lot, especially for guys like Kulu, Solanke and Porro. And like you say perhaps one or two might return to the bench at least. I think we could win tomorrow, I just don't think we do it with a clean sheet.Yeah I don't think this will be anything like the Liverpool match. Especially for the fact our players will actually haven't had a mid week match for the first time since October. That additional freshness will at least help us play closer to our normal game. Rather than leaving open spaces due to not having the legs to press effectively.
I actually have a sneaky suspicion that Romero, VDV, Davies, or Richarlison might make the squad as well.
We are one of the top scoring sides in the league, so I think we can score against most teams when we are on it going forward. It's just the other way where I have my concerns against someone like Isak on the top of his game.High scoring game yes
But their attackers and their midfield are so so so strong at the moment... their defence is not bad either... a couple of clean sheets lately... in form team. Very tricky fixture.
I hope we can get at them... as you say... because we need a couple of quick goals from us... use the energy we have from our little new years break... and then change from the bench as good as possible before we run out of steam.
We have to go for pace, fast passes and trickery in midfield and attack... because we will lose if we try battle with them or if the are allowed to kerp their shape.... Bruno, Tonali and Joelinton are too strong physically for us... and the only way we can hurt them is to swarm around them. And get people and balls into dangerous areas.... and shoot dammit... shoot !!
You're right... agree... that's why we have to keep the energy high as long as possible... and minimize errors and stupid free kicks and corners in our half... it's difficult with the defence we have at the moment... but we have to be on the front foot and go for it.We are one of the top scoring sides in the league, so I think we can score against most teams when we are on it going forward. That will be refreshing seeing us keep it tight for once. We've had a decent rest and we seem to do better against the teams we're not expected to do well against. Think we'll nick a win 8-7.
Spot on... although I hope Madders will start instead of Son... or Johnson. What sort of line up are we expecting?
My guess is:
Forster
Porro - Dragusin - Gray - Spence
Kulusevski - Bissouma - Sarr
Johnson - Solanke - Son
Probably not what I'd choose tho.
