Actually a very composed performance. We need to take our chances better, losing Son also hurt us, but in control all match. Again the attempt to take 'intent' out of the game only serves to make the game ever more random. Handball was always the cheapest way to a pen, and this is even more so.

Is Son alright? Berg on for Son again did nothing for us going forward, I hope José was just looking to rest Son before the big week ahead.

Unless it was an injury, saw no sense in taking Son off at half time with being only 1-0 up. Can understand Mourinho wanting to rest players with the schedule we have but I'd have given him another 15-20 minutes and left things unchanged to see if could carry on from where we left off in the first half and grab another goal.

If Souness thinks this is adding 'more excitement' to the game then he's a fucking moron!

It's patently a bad fucking ruling and needs to change!

Just going to stop watching football. I could see that ref wanted to be a VAR STAR from the start. Ridiculous. I'm done with this shit. Football is dead if they don't change the rules.

well the one they replayed at the end there, Lascelles i think, wasn’t handball by the law - his arm was inside the line of his body.
Well the rule needs to change then, to account for the fact that humans generally have arms.

Have to be ruthless when you are on top we messed about and did not kill the game.. Only ourselves to blame kinda typical of Spurs and to be honest I expected it..

I mean, on a better day we go into half up 4-0. We had chances in the 2nd half, too. It's not like we did absolutely nothing after we scored. We will obviously rue the chances missed, but Darlow was fantastic. The decision at the end let us down, Newcastle did absolutely nothing all fucking day and got a point.

VAR has made the game demonstratively worse. Millions of pounds spent to implement a system that is making the game unwatchable, the geniuses at FIFA continue their amazing record of improving the game.

Something needs to be done about this team too because we should've been out of fucking sight by halftime, let alone the 90th minute. Keeper was good but they were good saves, not great ones. Better finishing buries them.

Fuck off Souness, talking shit as usual.
Also to everyone saying we should have been more clinical, yeah sure we should have but ultimately we played well, and would have won 1-0 if it wasn’t for that decision.
