I deleted my post before I saw your reply as I didn’t want to go into it, but I was more referring to the misuse of the spam button towards posts that weren’t spam in other threads. I’ll leave it at that as I don’t want to sully this thread. Also, I can’t PM you as you limit who views your profile apparently.
I think I'll leave it well alone, but for the sake of decorum I never intended any malice toward your self. Apologies.

Happy for you to shut up and stop with the crap. The above was a polite warning, this one isn't.
I apologise, I'll remove the edge from my posts and remove the edgy ratings handed out to others.

Again, I apologise.

Im a little but concerned what our midfield might look like for this match. Newcastle are inconsistent but on their day they are very good.

Usually when an inconsistent team like us meets an inconsistent team like Newcastle it ends in a draw. So it stands to reason that we'll probably either win or lose.

Hopefully that provides some insight.

This should be an interesting watch as we literally have 0 excuse not to win. At home, against a Newcastle side potentially without Saint-Maximin and Jamal Lewis and that just lost 3-0 at home to Brighton. We're pretty much fully fit bar Bale, Tanganga and potentially Hojbjerg and we didn't have to play on Tuesday so we shouldn't be fatigued. I want to see something from Mourinho today, we have recently struggled against deep blocks but we have easily enough quality to create chances and score more than enough goals, we need some proper attacking automatisms and structure.

6-1 Spurs

Newcastle wont be as naive as Southampton against us and will definitely play deeper but we will hammer the barcodes.

This was the match last season when it finally dawned on me that the Poch era was coming to and end or a massive rebuild was needed. It was painful to watch and I remember walking down seven sisters after the match questioning if I want to continue spending my money watching the football we were producing. I think Newcastle deserve to lose this one 8-0 for making me feel bad that day.

We won't keep a clean sheet so we need to be clinical with chances we create. More like second half vs Southampton and less like game vs Everton please.

Just need a win, need to start picking up some momentum and start getting some confidence in the lads.

The later boost from Bale and Tanguy getting fitter should help with the performance side of things.

Bale can always open those teams up that sit back with his world class strikes from outside the area. So for now it's just about getting the points and the performances will hopefully follow with the increased confidence.

William Butler Yeats ? Is that you ?
More Keats 'Ode to Autumn' Shirley.
To Autumn
Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eaves run;
To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shell..........

And Spurs at home ring Barcodes Sunday death knell.

Get a comfortable lead by half time and give Kane and Son a good rest.If that means shutting up shop so be it.
Lo Celso and Ndombele also to share the game.
About time Fernandez and Sessegnon had some time off the subs bench.

I'm always a bit twitchy about this one. Half my family are Geordies, and for every Teddy Sheringham hat trick, or Timothee Atouba exocet, there's a Temuri Ketsbaia and a 7-1 thrashing.

I'd like to think we're growing sufficiently into the season to be able to see 3 points relatively comfortably.
Agree, im from the Northeast and all my mates are Newcastle supporters bar the one mackem. Ive seen a few 5-1, 6-1 and 7-1s down the years, Gerry Francis era in particular!
Obefemi Martins was a player who i knew would always score against us!

I was still married to a toon fan when he hit that worldy against us. So annoying.

Every time I have seen him, he has been their most dangerous player. Even in the game up there after the lockdown he certainly was.
Yes, but I feel that's damning Newcastle with faint praise. He seems as likely to twat it into one of his own players faces, as score a belter.
