I don’t know what people want from Lamela. He’s a hard worker, passionate and hs a decent pass on him. He’s been our best player this half.
Agree with this. Lamela is marmite - some hate him for being reckless but I love him for being on the right side of aggression and passion

Yeah I agree. A busy half for him. The key is keeping him fit as when fit he still has a role in this team going forward.

You want to take off the one player who has given us some control in midfield so we can get some control in midfield?

Lamela's been at the heart of every decent piece of play we've strung together hasn't he?

Feel like I'm watching a different game sometimes.

Nah you're right, Lamela is playing well.

They aren't focusing Davies with James or other quick players, maybe our pressing or their game plan, hope it continues like this.

DeGea should have done better. He has more clangers Inside him than the moon.

Solid half once we got over the rust. If we can get a few more passes together between the lines then I fancy us to get another. Had the better opportunities.

Going well so far. Getting an ideal Mourinho display - Solid and disciplined medium block that is then - aided by United playing far too high up the pitch, and not sniffing what we are doing - getting counter opportunities and space to take the ball into and get at them.

Obviously need to remain focused and continue to keep our shape and be tough to break down, and it would be nice to see a little more clinical nature when we do attack as there has been really good space to run at and exploit often that we didn't make the most of, but a very satisfactory 45 mins so far.

We've kept the two banks of four quite tight and minimised the space for them to play in. Such a sharp contrast from before the enforced break. There have still been a couple of occassions where Sissoko and Winks have looked lost on the transition (UTD turning it over), but it's not been too bad.

Well taken goal that would've had the commentary team in rapture were it Rashford or James. Sissoko and Aurier have put Winks in trouble a few times with their hot potato passing, but aside from that very little else to say.

Best half of football Dier has played since his last half-decent half of football.

Man I have missed the rush I get when we score. It might have a friendly atmosphere but I celebrated that goal like a cup final winner.

Can definitely tell that Mourinho has been working on our defensive shape over the break. So much more solid, narrow FBs with Bergwijn and Son both covering diligently.

Some nice attacking link-up when we break their press, too. Main concern thus far is that Kane hasn't been involved at all.

Still, better. Can see the plan a little more.

I agree. But...

A right foot might be nice for Lamela... To be fair if he had one, he'd be world class.
