To be honest I know this will sound silly but I think City are by far and away the best team in the league. Even with 10 men we couldn’t get near them. Just like at the Ethihad how they didn’t score 4 or 5 only they will know. Liverpool are the complete opposite, they seem to score with every half chance they create but don’t dominate teams.

The twists and turns of sport. Lets be honest City weren't cutting through us at will, but they did have numerous chances and we largely survived on quite a lot of luck. But we hung in there and when the momentum and atmosphere shifted with that red card we struck whilst they were vulnerable and reorganising. Great goal out of very little from Bergwijn and we took full advantage of the wind being in our sails with the second shortly after that put us in the driving seat.

As I say, yes it was lucky but if you somehow manage to stay in games eventually you will get your spell and it's whether you can take advantage of it. Against Liverpool we didn't quite manage it, today we very much did.

Very excited about next season. This season remains difficult without a striker, but that was a massive win today, feels like a good long while since we’ve had something like today to enjoy and it will give a big lift to the players.

just felt there was something about the way we were digging in first half

Just to play devils advocate for the ones saying excellent masterplan from JM. City should have probably been 3 up today. For me a Jose masterplan could still involve little of the ball but has to also include reducing clear goalscoring opportunities

But I'm very encouraged with seeing more of Winks lo Celso ndombele

Lo Celso’ first touch is sensational. Definitely green shoots of a very good team starting to emerge.

I dont love that style of play, but these are the games that if Poch had been more pragmatic we may well have won something. Even with 10 men city are dominant in possession.

Over the last few games we have started to look much better organised and the players are generally playing with more confidence. I dont think that we will always give territory and possession, as jose builds his team and the players become more confident we will begin to see those triangles and patterns of play emerge.

Lo celso looks excellent. Had another very good game even if much of it was defensive worked really hard and when he did get the ball showed his quality. Winks was excellent, as was Toby, tanganga and Aurier penalty aside.

Hugo was immense as well and basically won that match for us.

Ndombele is crazy talented. He has everything. We just need to integrate him into the team.

We actually have a shot at the top 4 again!

Outstanding result, opening goal was pure class, and I frightened the life out of the wife when Bergwijn scored, she then headed to the shower....... Buzzing now, off to friends for a super bowl party where the beer and tequila will be flowing!

Not exactly sure how we won that game two nil.

Defense on another day conceeds but the effort and commitment was there. The squad still seem like a really tight group, which was something I worried about with Mourinho coming in.

Rode our luck, you can see exactly how we miss Kane as an out - his hold up play gives the team room to breathe. It's going to be a long few months for the squad. To get wins we're going to need lung busting performances.

Really liking Le Celso. He linked up well with N'Dombele and Lamela, who if fit need to be playing when possible. Really one dimensional in the final third until they rocked in.

Man City are cracking. Brilliant going forward. They don't seem to get any luck with us recently, so you could almost feel sorry for them, but pure fuck them, bullshit, roided up nothing club, thoroughly don't deserve to be anywhere near the top half of the league, just a mancy West ham.

NDombele knows EXACTLY what he is going to do with the ball immediately or what space he can turn into. A Master.
