Sterling should not be on the pitch. Mike Dean shouldnt either.

Tbf to Mike dean he didn’t give the pen but when VAR decided, he didn’t have a choice. He should have booked sterling for diving though

My thoughts exactly. But I don’t think it would have been much better against a worse opposition.

As bad as Son has been, we can’t afford to take any goals off the pitch. The same reason why Dele needs to stay on. They are the only 2 with any history of scoring

Serge has been one of the best players in my opinion.

We just look unlikely to get much upfront. Agree son and moura need a change about and dele isnt offering much at the moment.

Riding our luck here. City have slowly started to open us up and we're too light on players defending. The attacking players are not doing enough to justify four of them starting. Without the ball not getting back in enough, and with it yeah I know it's hard but I'd like to see a bit more decisiveness, been quite a few times where they could just drive forward immediately and try taking the counter to City, but there's a lot of fiddling about with the ball before deciding what to do and any hopes of a rapid counter are gone.

VAR hasn't had a good one there. Sterling was lucky not to get a red, the first penalty how did it take so long to give it, and then for the second tbh I have always said any contact from a keeper flying out of his goal should be a penalty. Looked like there was some, I'd have given it.....

Need to regroup and knuckle down second half, we were really creaking at the end there.

That was another awful half of football from us. Not really that surprising anymore unfortunately.

We've been shite on the ball but I think we were actually pretty good defensively aside from a couple of individual errors. We look well organised and Lo Celso, Winks, Tanganga and even Aurier have had some excellent defensive moments.

If we're going to play as a counter attacking side we need to massively improve our passing under pressure, though. We've wasted so many opportunities today and you just can't afford to give the ball away cheaply against a side like City.
