Every training photo of NDombele has him breathing out of his arse. He probably needs more fitness training before minutes in games if you go by that.

Jose is a happy chappy isn't he. I like his interviews. Clearly enjoying working at a club that doesn't demand or expect any success or ambition. Basically paid retirement.

-Will not signing a forward curtail our chances of achieving anything this season Jose?
-yes Dan
- cool lol what do you think about getting a cheese room?

I have a feeling Jose has put him on a fitness program to get him tip top before unleashing him.

Outside of Ziyech, Bergwijn is probably the single most suited player from the Eredevisie for the EPL. He's going to do really well, not just cause of his dribbling ability, but he has very good vision and can play those defense splitting passes when he cuts inside. Against City's center-backs, you can get joy with quick passing through the middle, which is why I think Ndombele for Winks would have been the right call today. Another reason why I'd have opted for Ndombele is his ball-carrying ability. Lo Celso is going to have a lot of responsibility to break City's press today. Winks has had a tendency to shy away in tougher matches this season when other teams have tried to pin us back when passing out from the back. If he's going to cement himself as a starter, he needs to outwork Rodri today and be a integral part of springing numerous counter-attacks.

I hope we start on the front foot. Sitting back against City is a recipe for disaster. You will invariably concede against them, as they have better players going forward than even Liverpool (they just are nowhere near as good at the back).

Bit scared about our midfield tbh. We look a bit light weight. I can see DeBruyne having a lot of fun.

Let's see if Mourinho can stop us conceding in the first 5 mins.

Middle of the park seems thin for us, Winks and Lo Celso together mmm
