One of those games where result was paramount. Big win.

First half we were slick, aggressive and on it. Played some lovely stuff, should have created more from our openings.

Second half we lost our way/ran out of gas and butchered so many good openings. All things told, the deserved victors.

Now we’re getting people back, we really need to give Kulu and Son a rest. They have both been pretty poor for a good month and seem to cough up possession almost constantly.

Tel was erratic but showed plenty I thought. Spence was gravy. Bergvall was quality first half, his ceiling (once he works out how to use his energy) is scarily high. His shoulder drops to evade challenges were brilliant. Madders was the difference. Muppets who don’t see what he brings to our team when he plays really need to take up a different sport. Danso very solid. Vic was excellent.

Saw a very brief glimpse of what a handy asset Odebert will be. Lightning quick. Think he’ll link with Tel well.

Pleased for Ange. We go forward from here. Get in there.

Had to follow through social media thanks to that pesky business of work. Is it worth watching Match of the day or just look for the goal?

Has anyone done the maths on how possible a Conference League spot might be, if at all? A few clubs picking up some injuries, but surely would need a miracle turn around.
Theoretically possible lol still 39 points possible if we won them all 🤔

Just been watching the game and I think we were comfortably the dominant team. The Garnacho chance in the 1st half was due to Porro being too high up (again) but I don't feel Utd really threatened.

There were a few instances where Dom would have made a huge difference - Porro whipped in a few balls (28th minute sticks out) to exactly where Dom would be attacking.

Longer term I can see something like:

Vic
Spence Romero VdV Udogie
Gray Bentancur
Deki
Odobert Dom Tel

Spence is turning into some player btw. Outstanding again today.

Maddison starts in our strongest 11. I get consistency isn’t his strength, but he’s by far our best player on the ball.

Much needed win against a side even poorer than us. Very welcome to get back to back wins in the league, even if it is only the second time this season.

Some of us muppets see how Maddison plays in difficult games. How good of him to return after two big cup games. Go and perform at ipswich. I await the result.
Son has not been pretty poor for a month , he has been poor for 12 months . should not be starting now we have players back. Sonny never takes the full back on. Ideal game today he was in loads of space regularly. Unfortunately we are carrying him at the moment.
it really was strange that 5 players are suddenly fit when our most difficult games have gone.
We won but didn’t play particularly well. They could have easily got a draw.

Huge fuss being made about United's injuries but I look at the side they had out and they were all players with experience some of them masses of it but my point is that they're all players who have been playing for the first team fairly regularly. With us we had to draft in complete newbies, Gray, Bergval. Spence, Kinsky, Mikey Moore and the odd academy player.
Now I genuinely appreciate they had some playing out of position and of course they have lost important players but I think it highlights how strapped we really were.

Effectively they were only really missing 2-4 first team players, we've missed close to 11 first team players for a lot of games this season

We regularly had 3 teenagers playing . All theirs were on the bench.

Madders in. Deki to the wing. Tel on the bench. Otherwise fine.
