I think City are pissed off at us as a team and for the situation they are currently in. Hopefully we don't pay the price for that.

A couple of things immediately struck me after listening to some weekend analysis today.

One, we need to bombard their right back, whoever that is. They literally don't have a recognised right back in the squad now they let Walker go. If Nunes or Lewis start there, we need to go all out to hurt them from that area, whether we start with Son, Tel or Moore out wide left (probably Son).

Two, given how their midfield is old and sluggish now, we need the maximum energy to blow them away in the middle. Bergvall is a dead cert start for me barring injury because of the way he just does not let up in his work rate.

Succeed in those two things and we will have some fun. Fail and things get tense.

Don't know where else to put this, so I guess here will do.
So, I now can't make it on Wednesday, and have put my seat on Ticketexchange, if anyone's interested.

I’d go with this:

Vicario

Porro
Danso
Gray
Spence

Bentancur
Bergvall
Maddison

Kulusevski
Son
Tel

Udogie and Johnson shouldn’t be starting two games in such quick succession and there is a week rest after. They will be available to come on if we need them.

Maddison to start as he has rested well at the weekend and was unplayable last time we played City.

Will be interesting to see if either Romero or VDV make the bench.

Bah, we always beat this lot. Just give us the three points now and we can all enjoy a quite Wednesday night in front of telly and save some hamstrings.

This is what I think will happen although I could see Ange figuring out a way to play Johnson, maybe dropping Deki or Madders to the bench.

And if *I* ran the zoo, that front three would be shuffled to put Deki in the middle with Tel on the right and Sonny on his preferred left.

Haaland not certain to be in the squad, Pep says they'll see how he is after training today.
