With the crowd and the result tonight, it was another very positive moment for the team.

Makes the quarter tie v Manu, feel a bit sliding doors almost.

Our result in Europa, plus the league cup, hopefully our young team is showing something.

I know the Palace game and second half v Brighton was shite. But the Wham game plus the City game keeps my glass half full.

Best atmosphere that we have had in the stadium for ages.
I agree. Interesting in that lots of regulars weren’t there tonight. I often hear them moaning about the ‘tourists’ and people who only come to a few games as being the ones causing the problems with the atmosphere yet tonight was the best in a long time.

I get that it helps getting off to a great start against the best side in the league and it was under the lights and all that, but still…

I think the regulars are a part of the problem with the atmosphere, a lot of them are so fucking miserable and negative, and only want to sing songs about Sol Campbell and that lot down the road. A lot of people who can’t go every week make the most of it when they are there - as long as there is a group there who get the songs going of course

YES, YES, YES
Just finished watching what was a brilliant game of football with two teams going toe to toe and pressing the f**k out of each other.
Got to go now and pick up my daughter from gymnastics practice.
More to follow.😀😀😀

A great game of football with great performances and a great result.

First off I was pleased with the team selection. I have been banging in for ages that the secret to team rotation is not wholesale change for cup games but rather making 2-4 changes from game to game. Tonight Ange got it spot on making only 3-4 changes.

In truth we should have won by 2 or 3 more goals. Our lack of a killer instinct in front of goal is holding us back. If we ever get that KI we will be a real force.
But that lack of a killer instinct is not just applicable to in front of goal. It also applies to defensive situations.
Their goal is a good example. When Gray tucks in to track Macafee Johnson has to mark Nunez. That he doesn’t, and he has previous for this lack of football intelligence, shows this lack of a killer instinct because if you have that you are switched on in defensive situations and you make sure you don’t give the opposition an easy opening. This is especially true at the end of each half.
Despite that blip we defended very well tonight restricting City to only a handful of half chances. To do that against the best side in the country should give everyone a huge boost of confidence in our defensive capabilities.
Regardless of how tired any players will be or any injuries we have got to carry the positive momentum this result has given us into the next game against Villa. We cannot rest on our laurels but instead build on the positives, and there were many, and put in a good performance at the weekend.
Anyway great game, great night. Can’t remember the last time I found a game so engrossing and enjoyable, even if nerve racking at times.

Never underestimate SC's capacity to find a pot of shit at the end of the rainbow :D
Poorly worded 😅 A win is a win and against city nonetheless.

Just disappointed with the injuries and frustrated with our inability to keep the ball, and score the chances we should against city’s B-team.

Had to get the dig in at the end of your post. We didn't play our best team either.

If you can’t enjoy that performance and the win then maybe supporting Tottenham isn’t for you😅
Just wish more from us and felt a bit sour after all the injuries and wasteful finishing.

I enjoyed the hard work from the lads but thought it a poor performance in general, and City were clearly not serious either which affected me.

But a win is a win 👍🏻

Wasn’t meant as a dig but I’ll jump off for a few days. I’m clearly provoking even though I don’t mean to.

I thought the same until half time. But what the f### was the booing about at halftime whistle in the South Stand. All those around me were flummoxed as to why?

Likely at the the referee. He missed two fouls in the lead up to both VDV's injury and Nunes' goal, after giving them petty free-kicks all half.

I'm not going to go full Arse because we won, but the ref was fucking atrocious at times last night, and it wasn't even a difficult match to take care of.
