God knows why this game has been scheduled for 8.15pm. Getting back home after a 7.45pm kick off is bad enough

I guess they think about time needed to get there but not back. Especially if it goes to penalties.

This feels like a big game for us now. A win could really help turn the mood but go out of another cup and the league form will feel worse. I'd like to think we keep up the strong form at home tonight and Sunday. Then a tough trip to Turkey before another home game in the league. Win the home games and a result in Europe will really set us up going forward.

I’m going tonight and taking my Sons and Wife to the Stadium for the first time, and it will be my youngest son’s first match.

Fingers crossed 🤞

I completely forgot this game was on today.

I sort of wish I never remembered

The Man City team they put out against Watford had some pretty formidable players in it- Walker, Nunes, Doku, Grealish, Foden...all with a point to prove. We'll have to be absolutely on top of our game today to get anything from this.

Probably so Sky can grab viewers for the the last 30 mins of our match when the other matches have finished, which all kick off half an hour earlier, it might boost Sky's advert watching audience which is what commercial TV relies on.

Well three of those are injured for tonight, so their team will likely be stronger.

Good news, it's on tv here this afternoon (Paramount+ if anyone is looking for it).

Bad news, we're going to get our arses handed to us and crash out of yet another cup competition.

(Deliberately pessimistic to avoid disappointment later, and if we win I can be accused of being a boo-boy)
