Unpopular opinion but Doherty haven’t been all that for us. Reguillon made a bigger impact in his first game than Doherty has done in all his games for us. Mediocre?

I'm not surprised really, Doherty's played as wing-back in a 3-5-2/3-4-3 for the last three seasons at least including all of his time in the PL, and we expect him to immediately be comfortable in a back four with completely new teammates?

I feel like the biggest problem is people conflating shit referees, the new rules and VAR. The problem is normally only 1 of the 3 and occassionally 2 of the 3.
