He was very good preseason, where did you get the 'indications' from and what has influenced your opinion his attitude changed in a 'case of weeks, not months'?
As I said, we know about 2% of what goes on behind closed doors. I haven't got a clue about his attitude except for noting that his last 4/5 managers didn't seem to rate him enough to want him longer term. There must have been reasons for this.

I also liked him in pre season and was really annoyed when he was left out of the europa squad. But I give benefit if the doubt to the manager where I can, because he's our manager and I choose support over blind criticism every day.

I think Ange did make a mistake on this but not to the degree that the Ange-haters would have you believe. I think if he was to explain it in detail publicly it would have seemed a reasonable decision from his POV at the time. And I also believe that he might not have been as good if he was brought in much earlier, or if there was attitude problems they might have continued. His likelihood of injury would have also been higher.

So we move on and the boss still has my support because he's entitled to a learning curve as well.

When Allison fumbled the ball and Bergvall caught him out, with Porro missing two subsequent chances for us to score at nil nil, I think that was a bit of dick-measuring on his part after seeing the ball-playing ability of our young keeper but it went horribly wrong for Allison. Love that, just wish we scored from it too.

P.s. I’d post this on the kinsky thread but I’m still banned from the transfer forum for the apparently unforgivable crime of posting a picture in the ITK discussion thread something like 10 years ago, no prior warnings or infractions and no benefit of the doubt for that slip up either.
10 years. Is that all.

"Still banned"

It may seem active to you but I don't think the mods review past decisions like a prisoner coming up for review. I think it's probably a life/permanent ban. Just because they don't have the bandwidth to go over the rights and wrongs of past decisions.

Could be completely wrong about that though.

I was at the game last night and was greatly impressed by the mentality and ability of many of our young players. The result reflected their efforts and I can see a new nucleus of our young side developing. However, I'm regularly disappointed by the performances of our two wide attackers, in this instance Son and Johnson. Their involvement and influence on matches is often minimal as it was yesterday. If we can improve those positions, whether that's with players we already have such as Deki, Moore, Odobert, Yang or even Maddison maybe, or by new signings I think the side would take a huge step forward. I often feel Solanke is battling a lone battle and needs the wide players to make more of an impact.

Didn’t that **** Jota kick one of our players in the head a couple of seasons back. Not get the red card (as he is not that sort of player apparently 🤦‍♂️) then go on to score the winner against us?

I share your feelings sometimes, but regularly remind myself that we need a stable team of players who are fit and fresh before we can really see who's working out or not. For a spell we had that and Johnson was knocking them in, and remember he is only 22. Son is off form, we know this, but he has been overplayed forever due to injuries.

I still think we will finish the season very strongly when our depth improves

So one can survive a well lubed A@C ban stick.

Tottenham have been getting more of a mention on the news since Ange took over.

Last night they covered the Liverpool result and ended with the yellow card controversy.

Sports reporter said "Liverpool would be complaining as usual"

The SC parole board, i'd love a thread where the banning infraction is posted with a decision made on whether you were that much of a herbert you deserved life without parole or whether you can get reinstated after time served.

It's punishing enough being banned in transfer forum for several years but what is very annoying and dare I say slightly deliberate is not moving player threads such as kinsky when he has already signed AND played a game for us
