As I said, we know about 2% of what goes on behind closed doors. I haven't got a clue about his attitude except for noting that his last 4/5 managers didn't seem to rate him enough to want him longer term. There must have been reasons for this.He was very good preseason, where did you get the 'indications' from and what has influenced your opinion his attitude changed in a 'case of weeks, not months'?
I also liked him in pre season and was really annoyed when he was left out of the europa squad. But I give benefit if the doubt to the manager where I can, because he's our manager and I choose support over blind criticism every day.
I think Ange did make a mistake on this but not to the degree that the Ange-haters would have you believe. I think if he was to explain it in detail publicly it would have seemed a reasonable decision from his POV at the time. And I also believe that he might not have been as good if he was brought in much earlier, or if there was attitude problems they might have continued. His likelihood of injury would have also been higher.
So we move on and the boss still has my support because he's entitled to a learning curve as well.
