That Liverpool side beats that Tottenham side 9 out of 10. We did as well as could be expected. The subs made a big difference, I like Lo Celso, think he just needs a run.

Deserved a draw
had the chances.
Showed some spirit
not completely disappointed.
Found a defender
Lo Celso and Lamela should start.
nowhere near as bad as I feared.
World Champions
not all that.

These are the types of big game performances that we brought Mourinho in for IMO, even if we did lose on this occasion. Solid defensively, well organised, difficult to break down and still a threat. This was all with a pretty broken team as well, in terms of confidence, ability and amount of injuries to it.

It's definitely something to work from but we now really need to recruit well, it's so important.

Too much hoofball again and a bit demoralizing to see Gazzaniga sending it to the stratosphere for Moura and Son to watch the return to earth. Its was pretty passive for the most part, but the defending was much better and deep lying tactics were reasonable in this match's circumstances.

GLC should've scored. He and Winks were good in that later period. Sanchez and Tanganga were impressive. Hopefully Tanganga launches from here.
I get what you mean about the hoofing, but the flip side is the irrespective, suicidal passing it out from the back that we were doing under Poch. That gave me kittens every time I watched a match.

Redknapp is a pure tit, one of those people you could never get bored of slapping.
It's hard not to be when you are surrounded by people that can't finish a sentence without the word melt... (and are not referring to cheese or a plastic addiction)

When you see the performance JT has put in there tonight, I really think it’s time to blood some more of these youngsters. Out with some of the old guard, Rose & Eriksen for starters, and in with the new. Skipp and Parrot will be buzzing for their mate after that, and will want a part to play in a big game each now too. Could save us money, could also bring some enthusiasm back to the team. Lo Celso can be counted as one of those deserving of a starting place too. I’m disappointed cos we lost, and the chances we missed, but I’m also kind of upbeat due to JT, LoCelso, and Lamela’s performances.

Also thought Lucas worked his socks off today, won a lot of important balls after he realised Winks and Eriksen weren’t going to do it for him, also showed some nice skills. We need a midfield so he can do the damage further up.

What’s annoying me about Alli these days is the flapping and moaning at his teammates. He has not earned the right to do that.

Get the feeling that his presence in the dressing room and media profile has blurred his and Jose’s view of his performances/ability.
Great leaders never do that anyway. Yeah you can give team mates a rollicking from time to time if their commitment's not there or they do something really stupid. But just bitching and whining for not getting the pass you wanted betrays a weak character, especially when he's as guilty as anyone of not finding the right pass much of the time. Defoe used to do it all the time as well and fuck me he was one greedy bastard.

I feel like these Sky pundits are rewriting history here with Poch. The team were disjointed and performances were bland for a long time. I'm ok with tactics like this against Liverpool if it's needed. Bit different if it's every week but not just from today.
